I made my third trip to the Whaley House yesterday on October 30, 2005. This time, I loaded up my digital camera with plenty of photos. There are a handful of reflections etc. and I believe that I have some legitimate orbs. I took photos in the late afternoon and early evening. Some with the flash and some without. I'd love to send you some photos Bonnie if you are up to seeing them.

We visited the house on april 14, 2006. I took some pics w/ a didital camera. I don't know very much about these cameras. Pics we took in the court house are very weird. the top half is blurry. Shadows go in different directions. the bottom part of the pics are normal. I just don't understand it. My husband took a pic of me in front of the stage, when I printed out a copy the bottom half of my body is transparent. It did not appear this way on the computer. Also, after I took each pic I looked in the view finder to make sure everything came out ok. They seemed ok until downloaded onto the computer. Also in one of the pics of the court room the wood glozes. Has anyone had this happen. I can't wait to visit again, soon to get more shots.
With a digital camera, what settings do you set the camera too? I will be going to the Whaley House on sept 6th and like to see If i can photograph what I witness over 20 years ago..Like the little girl in the kitchen or the rocking chair, rocking upstairs..Like to photography some of this this time or more..Please email information on using my digital camera,Lindsayb1331@msn.com...thanks
I just thought I should point out that the Whaley House does not look the same as it did 20 years ago. The kitchen is now a dining room. The old dining room is now set up as a general store and the upstairs master bedroom is now a theatre.
It looks very very different.

I feel the Whaley House has open doors to the other side & other dimnensions. This explains everything doesnt it. How else can you explain pictures showing things that arent there, like the stage set up that shows a stage set uo from the past, or these pics described above. RJSM I would love to asee your photos or any Whaley House ghost pics, especially of faces. You can email them to me at sharilynmina@yahoo.com. Another STRANGE thing I am noticing in ghost pics from all over the world is that faces that look like the Greek theatre masks or theatre icons. They show up on glass, windows, any reflective object, in orbs and in mists. But I am posting a new thread topic about this in the paranormal board.
I had a very odd experience. First of all, since I was a child many situations have happen to me, this experience at the whaley house was very upsetting for me. I'm from Texas and back in July 2005 my family and I went to San Diego and visited the Whaley House. Upon arriving, I went straight up to this room and then asked the volunteer if a girl had died in this room. She asked why? I told her a girl had died and she had been murdered. She was confused and said there was girl in the whaley house that killed herself. I just left it alone; myself being confused. I had many strange things happen to me in that house. My daughter who at the time was 12 at the time ; her and I smelled a strong odor in the hallway downstairs by the room with the rope. My husband ; nor by son smelled it. It was so strong, we had to leave to other room. There was a very cold draft it the kitchen area. My daughter had taken pictures. So many appeared; that was scary. My daughter was the only one who could take pictures ; with appearing images. I went back to the hallway by the rope to notice if there was any type of smell. I stood by the ropes and someone poke me on the side.; as I turned; nobody was there. My daughter was by me and said in a form was a lady with hair bun and long coat. I decided to leave immediately. We went back to Texas and forgot about the whaley house. All of sudden, I had strange things happen to me. Not knowing what was going on. I would be awaken by someone poking me on the side; and my husband was sound asleep. I could never wake him up. I started to gasp for air while sleeping and visions in my dream of a house, suticase, people. I became scared and didn't want to sleep in my bedroom anymore or didn't want to be alone. I couldn't sleep. Everytime, I would start to sleep my dreams seem so real; like if I was there experiencing and seeing things happened. My husband had to watch me while sleeping to see if started gasping for air.. My daughter didn't want to sleep in her room; she said she saw someone walking in the hallway. I slept with her one night in her room, and thought I saw someone next to me. My daughter took pictures and mist, would show up and different things. Other night, My husband and I were in the computer room and the door closed, lights flicker. I was convinced something was in our house. I started to write what has happening to me and told my husband there was a girl with the letter V around me and saw victorian sofa and big curtains where a girl and boy were laughing and stopped and a man came in and the room got dark. All this , was very upsetting for me and my family. We all slept in the living room for three months. The house was haunted and didn't know why. Till one day, my daughter took a picture of me in the bathroom by the mirror. and a image appeared. A lady with bun and long coat. You could see in detail a lady. she was looking at me. I don't know,But, I think this was Viloet Whaley and followed me .I knew I had talents of the unknown. I think I experienced how her death. In my dreams, or visions, or channels ; I don't know what you call it; It's like I was standing there and watching everything that happened to her and gave me clues to other important factors of this story that I will not write about. I wrote her a letter telling her I was very sorry what happen to her and understand what really happened and she had to go into the light. When I wrote that letter; and came by after my errands. The letter was turned over. As crazy, as this story sounds. It's the truth, my family experienced some events; I just lived them. I think to this day, it was Violet and led me to her true story of what happen to her and I experienced it all. This was very scary for me, I always knew I was gifted, but my experience took me to other level and understand my gift know. Can you please help me understand what happen to me and why?
