I just enjoyed looking at the current pics from the Whaley House. I don't want to be a party pooper, but some of the orbs and vortexes can most likely be explained away. Most orbs are dust particles and flying bugs that reflect the light from the flash. The whitish/silver vortex is a classic and common example of a camera strap in front of the lens. I pretty much discount orbs as anything paranormal, especially if they show up when the camera's flash is used. Sarah's pic of the unexplained shadow in the dining room is creepy and intriguing...it would be interesting to know the logistics of the photo. Annette's mysterious shadow could possibly be the camera strap escaping in front of the lens, but is also creepy!
I've had my own paranormal experiences, and don't mean to sound harsh. I just like to discount the obviously normal photos because I don't want to give fodder to the non-believers. Thank for your time!

Hi Junbug,

These photos have been up on the site for quite some time. To be brutally honest, I discount all photos or any other "evidence" that I did not personally collect. Every photo can be explained away, there are just too many variables. Not everyone feels the same way so I do provide some photos as examples.

I am a research medium so I rely on my skills in spirit communication. I also spend a lot of time verifying the information received historically. I find this to be more compelling evidence than a photo.

I am currently working on a case at the Hotel Del Coronado. To see the press release and a video clip just click on the Hotel Del Coronado page.

Thx for your comments.

To bad you discount all photos as being subject to some explanation. I went to the Whaley house 2 summers ago and Anne Whaley posed for a picture while I was taking a picture of Mr. Whaley's writing desk. Her image is reflected in the glass above. She is sitting in the livingroom next to the big window facing the street. She has on a white dress which is quite fluffy. Her hand is proped under her chin and her head is turned toward the camera.Shes got a slight smile kind of like the Mona Lisa. Her hair is done up just like in the oil painting of her and a baby. In fact she looks real close to the painting of Anne.

To Frank,
I don't discount all photos as being suspect, but I do pretty much discount photo "orbs" across the board as being anything other than spots on the lens or flash reflected dust or bugs. It's so tempting to want to believe that any photo anomaly is paranormal when it is indeed normal. I wouldn't have joined this group if I didn't have my own experiences, but let's all please be very cautious assuming photo evidence as hard proof. It's just too easy to misinterpret evidence and for people to intentionally create photo ghosts. I'm NOT saying that anyone here is doing so!!!
Thank you for your time.
Happy New Year to all.
