Thank you, Mike. I just watched it. I find myself thinking of Carl Sagan and wondering what his thoughts would be. I still have my entire "Cosmos" series on video tape, and despite the fact that many things in the world of science and astronomy have changed since the 1970s, in terms of what we've learned since then, I think he'd be so excited and thrilled to know what NASA and other space exploration organizations are doing today.
I remember a wonderful segment in "Cosmos" in which Sagan talked about the great library of Alexandria. So much collected knowledge from the ancient world was lost due to the destruction of that great library. Sagan speculated that we would probably be far more advanced today had we not lost so much incredible knowledge - knowledge that had to wait hundreds of years to be rediscovered.
