I bought this wonderful and entertaining book while in San Diego last week. I learned about the Whaley House from taking a haunted houses tour and I was so enchanted I went back the next day to tour the house. This book is very hard to find and I was delighted to read it. I finished it in two days. The authors cover many of the different hauntings reported by volunteers, staff and visitors and even include some ghost photos that are just wonderful. I enjoyed the book immensely. It is just perfect!

I visited the Whaley house on a city tour about a month prior to buying this book. The tour only let us stay in the house about ten minutes but it peaked my interest enough to do as much research as possible. This is the only book I have found so far and it is a wealth of information! It is full of eyewitness accounts from volunteers, visitors, psychics and researchers on what they have experienced there. The book has made me feel uneasy about returning to the house but since I am a local I will venture there someday when I feel brave.
