DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – There are some real ghost stories being shared with the cast and crew of the new film “Ghost of Goodnight Lane”, currently filming in Dallas.

Seventeen years ago filmmaker Alin Bijan purchased two buildings on Goodnight Lane and turned them into a movie studio.

While he has been very successful over the years, producing numerous projects for television and the big screen, when working at the movie studio he felt there was always something lurking in the corners, closets and hallways.

Bijan knew the feelings he had in the buildings weren’t ‘all in his head’, so he had two well-respected experts in the world of paranormal sightings visit his offices. Their independent investigations came up with the same conclusion — the place is haunted!

The original property was a ranch built in the late 1800′s. Legend has it five people died there at the turn of the century and it is their spirits that remain present today.

With so many employees and visitors agreeing they have experienced many scary occurrences, Bijan decided the experiences would make a great film.

Last year he wrote the script for “Ghost of Goodnight Lane”, which is about a movie being filmed at a movie studio that is haunted. So now does that mean that life is imitating art, or is art imitating life?

The Ghost script was so well received Bijan was able to attract an ‘A list’ group of Hollywood actors, including Billy Zane (Titanic) and Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls), as well as others and a host of well-known local talent.

Filming on the movie will continue through the end of the month.

Everyone involved seem to have had fun with the idea that spirits are among them. Billy Zane said he’s thrilled to tell the real life ghost story and Chabert said she made a pact with the spirits to remain friendly.

The filming hasn’t stopped the strange occurrences. Some of the crew have witnessed lights going off and on, ceiling fixtures dropping and even voices calling their names.

So, is it real or movie magic? You can be the judge when “Ghost of Goodnight Lane” opens in North Texas theaters, hopefully very soon.

Meanwhile, Zane cautions, “We got ghosts and we’re going to bust ‘em.”
