Peter James passed away in his sleep on July 31, 2007

I was notified by Tuesday Miles (friend of Peter James) that he had passed away.

I knew Peter James as a colleague.   He invited me to come share his world aboard the Queen Mary for an evening.  I found him to be the warmest most compassionate person I have ever met.  He knew firsthand the challenges and responsibilities of being a research medium and investigator.  Unlike most people I did not have to explain anything to him about my work, he just knew.  He encouraged me to keep going and was always complimentary.  Not that he did not put my through my paces that night.  He wanted to make sure for himself that I was genuine.  This brought me great comfort since as a sane and very analytical person I wanted to know that I was not crazy.   He will forever be in my heart for the difference that he made to my life.

Blessings go out to everyone whose life he changed.  I know that Peter is OK; it is the rest of us that must deal with the loss.

Here are Tuesday Miles' words about the man she knew so well:

If I had to describe a man who had reached greatness, I would come up with the name of Peter James. His intelligence, good looks, charm, and ever so kind nature drew many to him. He truly was a class act, and one that will never be replaced. Peter succumbed to his illness on July 31, 2007, leaving behind a brother, sister-in-law, nephew & niece, and many other family members and friends. His close friends such as his roommate dedicated neighbor upstairs, along with thousands of friends with whom he loved will dearly miss him. Peter loved many and he loved all of his friends.

Last known for his work on the Queen Mary, the love he had for this floating ghost town, he was well respected by all who worked there, and will be dearly missed. Peter's life was full, and he did not leave any regrets, as he had accomplished so much in his life.  He gave each one his heart & soul.

I will miss Peter dearly. Although like in life... as in death, to me he was and is forever an angel....  July 31, 2007

Tuesday Miles has set up a webpage to honor Peter.  Please visit and leave your comments.
