Please explain your experience: This was my first visit to the Whaley House, and though I knew that it is said to be the most haunted house in the U.S., I didn't really feel much this first day that I toured it. But on this day, and every time that I have been there since, my boyfriend and I have captured some of the most amazing photos. I can only say that I get an extremely drained feeling while in and after being at the Whaley house.Since the first occurrence, I have been to the house roughly 5 times, once on the ghost and graveyards tour.In those times I have seen the red velvet ropes move back and forth in the front room while chatting with the docent, and the upstairs curtains sway in a draft, etc.Nothing of a true intensity. Our most common pictures are of orbs.We seem to think that they come out mostly when making a face of emotion i.e.: screaming, sticking tongue out, etc. (almost as if taunting the spirits). Anyhow I, as many others, am drawn to the Whaley House, though I am terrified of the place.
