This Is It’ Choreographer Says Jackson Appeared Healthy

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A choreographer who helped late pop superstar Michael Jackson plan his comeback tour took the stand Monday in the third week of the trial against entertainment giant AEG.

KNX 1070′s Margaret Carrero reports choreographer Stacy Walker was the first to testify on behalf of AEG.

Katherine Jackson has sued AEG for negligently hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who remains jailed for involuntary manslaughter. AEG denies the allegations.

Walker, who worked on Michael Jackson’s planned “This Is It” tour, said she watched as Jackson completed two days of successful rehearsals before his death on June 25, 2009.

She also said Jackson had never appeared sick or under the influence during rehearsals, Carrero reported.

Attorney Tom Mesereau, who defended Jackson when he was acquitted of molestation charges in 2005, said the strategy could be a tough sell.

“The defendants are gonna be very hard-pressed when there are emails warning them that he doesn’t look well to come in and say that he was in, you know, in perfectly good health,” said Mesereau.

Last week, longtime makeup artist Karen Faye testified that she was brushed aside after she warned Jackson would die if he failed to seek medical attention.
