My house isn't haunted and I dont believe anyting around me is haunted either, but i think theres something wrong with me. Every where i go its like im constantly being followed by ghost. Like i went to my best friends house for a sleepover at her brand new house that was just built and that night i woke up with a black shadow hovering over me.I read about it and its supposed to be a demon or something , which scares the shit out of me because it happended 3 times to me before at to other houses and my own. I was walking home with my friend from a dance that had been up the street from me and the whole time we felt like we were being followed and i saw the shadow that i had seen at my friends and other places before. Is the same ghost following me , and is so why?

sorry for my delay in answering you message. This entity is probably just trying to get you undivided attention and will stop at nothing to get it.
If you have told this spirit to go and its still lingering about doing what it wants, you need to be firm with it, if it still stays after that i'd look into getting the house blessed, or haveing a pschic come visit to explain what your dealing with.

Sweety,
spirits can fallow you wherever you go and just cause this house was just built doesn't mean a darn thing. i dopn't understand why people think just cause a house was just built their the first owners that their home can't be haunted...WRONG!!! There could have been another home on that property, could have been an barrel ground some one could have been mrudered on the property.I mean the list can get quite long. so, i think if your seeing things and you not in the house of your friend then its you.
there is diffination for that i just can't think of it.
But you if these thinks scare you, don't show them fear just tell them this isn't their house , and their not welcome, thats they need to go away.

I would like to use the last post from sleepstopper as a good example of the kinds of possible normal and natural things that could be going on instead of the 'haunted' explanation. To be very clear, this is not meant to indicate this person's experiences are false, but rather to offer one explanation of how they might be interpreted.
I'll take each part of the report piece by piece and comment on each point.
- Had to leave a house lived in for 4 years since violent
things started to happen
What violent things? By whose definition? How old then?
This all goes to the background of the more recent experiences. If we are conditioned by prior events and behaviors, this could have been the touchstone that began the fear. It's important to revisit that time 12 years ago.
- Living in current home for 8 years
How long before activity began in the current home?
If almost immediately, that would make sense. If delayed, what changed? Better feeling in the new place? How about the demeanor of Mom and Dad? New people in your life? New interests? Lost interests?
- Noticing more 'weird things' with age
This could be simply improved cognitive abilities. There is a distinct point as you mature where you will normally find you remember things reasonably well for a few decades. So it could be that the events are remembered better not that more things are happening.
- Home alone at night: cold breezes brush across
Setting aside all of the 'paranormal' stuff, how do you feel about separation and being alone? Why? How is your social life? What outside interests do you have?
- Feels as if is something in the room throughout the house
- Feels as if being watched
This is a very common fright reaction. It also happens when people take certain forms of drugs and medications. Consider carefully everything surrounding your lifestyle.
- Hears noises in the walls at night
One of the most common reasons for noises in the walls of houses are carpenter ants. Carpenter ants make their nests in voids, do no real structural damage, but can be very noisy especially at night when they are foraging. Most are nocturnal.
- During past year lights rapidly dim and return to normal
Here's a true story for you from my own house. I have this alarm system. Suddenly for no reason it starts going off at all hours. The cause? Ants in one of the detectors. Same things can happen with insects or old wiring. Call a house inspector before anyone else.
- Yelled at mother and lights flickered with a sound
This is a good example of what Carl Jung came to call 'synchronicity'. It is our ability to associate two events that may have nothing to do with one another and give that association meaning in our life.
- Effect is loss of sleep when alone in the house
Not surprising that someone living in constant concern is having sleepless nights. This is normal and predictable.
Please remember, the above is not intended as an absolute explanation, I simply offer some points to think about.
And an illustration of how some fairly benign things can blow themselves out of proportion given the right circumstances.
I don't know the precise situation, so I use this as an example for others more than anything else. Hopefully it will help some of the folks here as they consider the possible reasons for the activity they are encountering.
At the same time, it is quite possible there is some valid phenomena. In that case, how it impacts you turns largely on your beliefs and your intent. Again, you can choose whether it controls you or you control it. As my one-time colleague Noreen Renier has put it so many times: "we all create our own realities."

some times in my room and in the basement i feel a presence of some one and some times it would be verry hot then i would feel a cold rush. also some times i feel somthing behind me touch my shoulder or if i take a picture in my house there is a smokey figure always in the corner. and every once in a wile the floor in a certain part in the basement will vibrate but no other part will. is my house haunted

cassie, in my Humble opinion no your house is not haunted life is too short to be frightened of things that are not there.
phenomlnvestigator, I have yet to see on this or any other web site explanations of hauntings. Or the paranormal that could not be logically explained.

While growing up I saw several strange things in my family home. One was my robe floating over my bed horizontally. At first I thought I must have dreamed it. Then I rolled over and my robe was lying next to me on the bed as if it had been ironed to the bed itself. Another my mother and I saw. We were in our kitchen late one night talking and a soda can started to shake in front of my mom. Then it lifted off the table and sat back down in front of me. My mom couldn't speak and I just started crying. My brothers have also had unexplainable things to happen to them. The bedroom I had growing up seems to make anyone who sleeps there to have nightmares and see things. My family changed it into a sitting room because of this. Most things that happens centers around our kitchen and my old bedroom(they're right next to each other) but not anywhere else in the house. Any explanation as to what's been going on?

You have likely developed a keen sense of anything out of the ordinary. It's natural to be concerned when you think you might be experiencing a bad memory all over again. It's more likely however that's all it is, a memory. Try to relax and focus on other pleasant things going on in your life. Take up a new hobby. I know it sounds simple, but often simple solutions work best.

A week ago i watched White Noise and i got freaked out the first night i saw it because i knew that it was a for real thing.
then yesterday me and my sisters experienced electrical problems and i thought nothing of it at first, so i would travel downstairs and turn on the fuse the popped. but then everytime i would get upstairs the fuse would turn off again. so i put salt and my pentagram by the fuses door becuase i started to think that there was a sprit and i'm used to hearing "use salt as a protection device". i figured done right but a couple minutes later the fuse popped again so i went down stairs and the fuse was turned off like normal.
then this morning when i woke up my sister came down stairs (cause my parents had already gone to work ) and said when she tryed to change the channel our t.v. when to av 4 and cv and then stopped and the screen went fuzzy. do i really have a spirit in my house and can i get rid of it and furthermore does it want to harm my family?
i'm almost wondering if it has message for me?

Many of my friends and my family have experienced things like this in our house and it can be attributed to alot of things like heat changes and just normal house creaking but if you really beleive that something or someone is in your house try just out loud telling them to leave you alone or go away, they may listen and they may not but sometimes it makes things stop for me. I feel someone following me around the house alot of leaning on my back and usually when I say go away they do. Best of Luck.

hi im kinda new to this whole thing. im also kinda a skeptic. i believe that sometimes spirits don't cross over for one reason or another and thats how we get ghosts. recently ive been having this feeling that someone is following me, but when i turn around no ones there. i even here someone calling my name but when i turn around no one is there. sometimes i get waken up when im asleep because someone is screaming but when i open my eyes no one is there. am i haunted?

Hey my advice is No, but there is always someone looking,calling my name, and screaming sometimes i feel that same feeling i am not skeptic or anything its because i thought i heard my aunt al it was my feelings for her. Not to be religous just heck there might be someone behind you right now all i am saying is if you are being watch be careful by the super and unatural because everyone have seen and do believe in the unsexplainable.and the unnormal.

i was over at my friends house and we were in the basement sleeping well watching tv and there were like 5 of us there and me and my friend saw 2 red eyes. we were scared but we ignored it for a bit then we saw the shape of a man at the window so we are freeked and then we see a black shaped figure running around in a crouched position like a baseball player running around and we were scared the noises didnt stop all night we finally fell asleep and the next morning we went out of the house and now every time we go down there we feel a very evil presents.
i need help wat should i do.
i kinda need a answer fast.

I AM A SINGLE MOM . MY DAAUGHTER IS 18 MONTHS OLD. I LIVE ALONE AND I HAE LIVING IN A MOBILE HOME I PURSHASED 2 1/2 YEARS AGO. ITS A 1988 MOBILE HOME. IN THAT ALMOST 3 YEAR TIME FRAME, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY COMFORTABLE WITH MY HOME I HAD NEVER SEEN R HEARD ANYTHNING,UNTIL ABOUT 7 DAYS AGO WHEN ONE NIGHT MY NEWPHEW AND NIECES WERE PLAYING ON THE COMPUTER WITH THE WEBCAM THEY WERE TAKING PICTURES OF EACH OTHER WHEN THEY GOT BOREDWITH THAT THE WEBCAM SAT ON THE DESKTOP VIEWING MY KITCHEN AREA,WHEN AN IMAGE OF A WOMAN"S FACE APPEARED ON THE MONITOR AFTER THE KIDS HAD STOPPED PLAYING WITH THE WEBCAM. THE WOMAN HAD HER HEAD TILTED TO THE SIDE WITH HER EYES CLOSED. YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE MY KITCHEN ,TABLECLTOH CHAIRS CURTAINS BUT ON THE WALL THE MONITOR SHOWED THE APPEARANCE OF THIS WOMANS IMAGE.THIS WAS ABOUT 9PM. I TRIED TO TAKE SNAPSHOTS OF THIS IMAGE WHILE IT WAS ON THE COMPUTER MONITOR BUT IT WOULDNT TAKE.THE ONLY PIC THAT DID SHOW WAS ONE THAT WAS BARELEY NOTICEABLE NOW THIS IMAGE COULD ONLY BE SEEN ON MONITOR THRU WEBCAM. I LOOKED IN KITCHEN ON WALL AND SAW NOTHING BUT ON MONITOR THRU WEBCAM IT SHOWED. My first piece of advice is to remain calm. There is nothing in your post that sounds threatening in any way.
Is it possible that by turning on all the devices in your bedroom that you overloaded the circuit? You didn't say if the circuit breaker had been tripped but this is a possibility.
Has anything changed recently with you or your family that is emotional in nature?

in my house there was before me a single mother and one child isabella, they were shot by who they just found out after 14 years isabella's real father juan, after isabellas mother jelia refused to give to custudy to juan.
to this day i still see 2 orbs in pictures i take and also feel cold spots in the kitchen where they were shot. I also can hear humming from what seems like old nursery ryhmes, spirts akwake me every morning before work, almost like they are reminding me not to forget them. As they are nice to me, and my new fionce ken they are sorta like an additon to the family.

I have seen ghost since I was 5 years old the latest is a man at the hotel that i work for. He moves objects and i see him on a daily basis. It really is annoying i just want him to go away. They say he is the father of the siblings that own the hotel. I can feel him before i see him. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cope with this? This is'nt the only thing i can see i also see things i wish i didn't see!

well every night my lil sister she wake up and starts cying but she is half a sleep and when you tri to talk to her its like she cant here you and i dont no wha she sees and in the mornig when you ask her why she cryed she wont remember that she cryed she doesnt no that she cryed ( its kind of weird if you ask me and i think that she sees things somtimes but i dunno wha she sees ) and its weird that i used to have bad dreams and i would wake up breathinghard or tears running down my face ( but i dont have them any more they go to her and soon it will be passed to my other sister

Hi, my family has been experiencing strange things for about a year now. We bought our home new and the land is where my husband has lived for many years so I don't know what could be causing what we've seen. Me and my step daughter-in-law both hear a little girl say mama twice one day and there was no one there. We've found little footprints on the end of the tray of the highchair and at the top of the glass door. We've seen things out of the corner of our eyes and then it's not there. My son recorded voices one night that sounded like an echo voice say "daddy" and "help me" on the recorder you could hear my 3 year old cry out and a voice said "it's ok". One night me and my children were on the back porch goofing off and through the window I saw what looked like a light shadow looking at us when I saw it, it slide into the closet. I was on my computer one night I looked up and saw my 14 year old son standing in the hallway looking at me when I saw him it was like he slide backwards out of sight, I never heard him walk down the hallway, later I asked if he was standing there and he said no he'd been in his bedroom. He told me the night before that he'd seen a short figure out of the corner of his eye walking down the hallway in a white gown. We've had doors slowly open or close and that eerie feeling that something is about to get you. We try to say this is all coinsidence especially since it mainly happens when my husband is working nightshift but sometimes I get really scared, what should we do if anything. Should I be scared?

hey guys i need your help,
my cousin who is 4 years old says there is a little girl in my sisters room, we tried communicating, we dont see her but my cousin does. she says the litle girls name is sierra and that she died 5 years ago and is 4 years old, we asked my cousin, becca, 2 ask the spirit 2 give me a hug, instintely my body got cold! becca says the girl died b-cuz her grandpa traded her the bomb, which sierra thought was a bouncy ball, 4 a dollhouse! i've tried communicating and i dont know what else 2 do, plz help me!

Im wondering if someone can advise me? I actually live in the UK with my 2 children aged 3 and 8 months and my husband to be. We moved here 7 months ago, a brand new house, the land used to be a field owned by local farmer. Since we moved my 3 year old hasnt slept properly. She is petrified and shakes, has all the lights on and wakes p screaming several times. Since we moved in she complained of the people who kept talking and running up and down. we assumed it was a vivid imagination, but whenever i have slept in there i have been woken by men talking and running up and down, last night i distinctly heard one say "come over here Chay" I have never heard the name Chay? couldnt make out the rest it was all hushed tones. I have several times asked/told them to leave and hat they arent welcome it seems to work a week or two but then come back again. iphoned our vicar today (priest) and he is coming to bless the house.A few months ago my daughter asked me "who died upstairs?" and would be afraid to play in garden alone, a lady in a black t shirt kept talking to her. Its very upsetting and we are exhausted. I once slept in her room and dreamt someone was shaking her bed while i slept. Just a dream i know, but i repeatedly have nightmares in there as does she. HELP! Whats going on? my boyfriend never sees/feels a thing btw.

Hi there everyone
I just found this sight and read some of what you have talked about and I was wondering if you could help me.
My family has just moved into our new house. We haven't even been here a month. We have 7 children but only 4 live with us right now, the others are grown. Anyway this is the second day that some really weard things have been going on.
Yesterday we had carpet cleaners come in and do all of the carpets in the whole house because there is this smell in the carpet that we cannot get rid of, after we have cleaned and cleaned it. We see figure shaped shadows on the floor and ceiling. This was the only problem we had until today. This morning after the kids left for school we heard a crash of something falling on the floor. I looked everywhere to find out what fell and couldn't find it. We have a Military Mackaw down stairs that all of a sudden started screamming and I could not calm him down. I took him out of his cage and he was shaking. Now I am hearing door knob noises and I am the only one awake in the house. My husband and my older daughter that is in the room next to us is asleep. The smell in the carpet is back like the carpet cleaners did not do a thing. I am starting to get freaked out here. Now my question is how can I find out what the history is on our 11 year old house. The only thing I know for sure is that 5 families have lived here before us.

LJD, yours is an excellent example of what may very well be a combination of hallucination and actual phenomena. I am reticent to label any site I have not personally visited or studied as such, but I must say that the indicators are there. Let's take the report apart piece by piece.
- Move to UK 7 months ago, new house, 3 yr old hasnt slept.
She's in a new environment. Likely the move to the UK was traumatic. This could simply be her way of dealing with it.
- Experienced sounds of talking and movements similar to those reported by the 3 yr old.
This is the bit I am suspicious of. I can think of three explanations. The first most rational explanation is that you are highly identifying with your child, are concerned with her well-being and are actually re-creating these events in your own mind (note they are a bit different than as reported by her) to validate them for yourself.
The second explanation is that you are experiencing some sort of PK effect that is causing the sounds you hear. This may be due to any of a number of living individuals. It is even possible you don't know who they are. This would account for the general consistency of what is heard.
The third and frankly most unusual explanation is that you are both experiencing an 'auditory place-memory' or haunting.
Modern parapsychology is beginning to successfully model the workings of place-memory to a degree that is becoming more acceptable to the physics community. It is by no means yet generally accepted in all science. However we have a sense of what may occur when impressions do occur in specific types of places; yours may be one of them.
When you tell 'them' to leave, you are conditioning your own belief systems. But these are constantly being negatively reinforced by others in your environment, and your resolve is tasked. Therefore, it is not unusual that 'they' come back. Read that as your world-view is not resolutely altered, at least not yet.
The lady in the black tee shirt could be simply an hallucination created by a stressed mind. You might want to think back if there was anyone your daughter mentioned before, even when you were in the US, that would be such an individual that might have caused her stress or trauma. These memories are very deep-seated and can be quite difficult to sort out. The fact that the lady apparently
speaks to your daughter doesn't make it phenomena per se. But it does require a more complex hallucination if in fact that is going on. Try to find out more about what she says, but don't dwell on the details too much, as this could reinforce a fantasy which would be well better broken.
Your dreams are likely nothing more than a mother's concern for her childrens' safety. You are creating your own realities, safe enough for you to deal with you'll note, but yet realistic enough to remember. This is likely a coping mechanism, and not unexpected.
Finally, as to your boyfriend, I would imagine he is generally a person who doesn't allow life to bother him. Clearly the nuances which you are sensitive to are not noticed by him. In a way this is a blessing. Someone gets to sleep. Maybe when you have worked this out by thinking about it from other perspectives you and your children shall too.
Please keep us informed. If this appears to be ongoing, it would be useful to know. I find this an interesting case, even if it is pure psychodynamics and nothing more.

Well, Im not sure if my house is haunted or not. Everything that I think I have seen has happened within the last year or so, the most recent incident being exactly one week ago. But first, a small background...On Feb. 23, 2003, I lost a daughter at 35 weeks pregnancy. It was very traumatic. I almost lost my own life as well. I was only given a 20% or less chance of living. Since then, I have had a slightly higher interest in wondering if whether or not spirits really do exist as I would like to know if my daughter is around me at all.
The first "incident" happened towards the beginning of the year. I don't remember an exact date though. I do know for sure that it was a Thursday night and I was home alone. I was near my computer and I thought I saw a small child out the corner of my eye. The child that I thought I saw would have been about the age my daughter would be if she was alive. This "incident" has happened twice now.
The second occurrence has happened on both wednesday and thursday nights, again I am home alone, repeatedly. Probably, my guess would be 6-7 times now. I had been asleep in bed for at least an hour or so when I wake up with quite a start. I thought there was smoke swirling above my head. I almost describe it as cigarette smoke. There was no smell and obviously no fire since still live in the same home. It felt as if the whole bed was shaking and the longer I stared at the "smoke" the more it disappeared. Other times, at night, I have awoken to the outline of somebody with my husband's build standing at the foot of our bed. I know it is not him though because these nights, he does not get home until very late at night from work. It is very strange as there is no depth to the figure. I don't really see a face or anything either. Again, the longer I stare, the more it disappears.
The third and most recent incident happened exactly one week ago. It was between 6-7pm. I was asleep on the couch with my chihuahua and I woke up with a start for some reason. The living room light was on still and for whatever reason, I looked into the kitchen. I swear on my life that somebody, again with the build of my husband, was standing at the kitchen counter as if he or she was getting a drink of water. There was no face or anything other than the outline of a body and the only other thing I could see was a red sweatshirt. The longer I stared at the figure, the more it disappeared into the cupboard door. I was pretty freaked out. I was visibly shaking.
Could these "incidents" really be something or do you think my mind is playing tricks on me for the simple fact that I would like to think my daughter's spirit is around me? My husband says the house is not that old and that the property used to contain a chicken farm on it years ago.

I was in my house when I saw a man in my door handle he was dressed in black!we took a look at him and we saw him getting closer to us.when we looked back we could'nt see anything at all exsept a little figure in the backround!

ihave had some things happen 2 me over the yrs,seen a black figure 3 times,in hospital someone in the next cube was really crying heartful as if over a lost one,heard voices,in bath one day i was in a happy mood then this sadness came over me and as if a wommen appearing through the world with a white vail lovely and so peacful and soflty said come with me caroline i will look after you i just brok down and cryed that was 7 yrs ago,but in oct 06 i bought a camcorder, 3wks bfore xmas @2.45pm i was in bed could not sleep something made me go and get the cam put it on and went straight to the wardrobe 3 wee lights started like they were dancin the a bigger one came out of the wardrobe straight at me went down tured and into the door funny i was not afeared i flight amazed peacful they were lovely this went on for 3 nights,my phone sounds as if there is someone on a walkie talkie this is only happenes when i am on the phone to my sister i belive it is my loved ones trying to tell us maybe that they were there waitin 4 my brother inlaw,he just past away 2 wks ago but the phone is still going like mad and a wk after he died i did hear a voice on the phone could not understad it it really scared me i was on the phone to my sister on her moblie could you explain some of these thx

hi im not sure maybe someone can help answer a few things we just moved in a new house about 2 months ago the house is prob. from the late 40sto early 50s things have been coming up missing for example my sons baseball shirt he put it in the washer and it was gone after that and we have not seen it since also i made brownies the other night and had my measuring cup i put where i allways do well no it is missing also i made a small pizza after i had ate it i wanted anther one so i put it in the oven when it was done i went to grab the pizza cutter it was gone and have not seen it again my sons tv turned off and on and the volume went up by its self please tell me im not losing my mind if their is a spirt its cool i just want to know im not crazy please help with any input u might have thanx sandy

I was wondering if the house I live in is haunted, based on only one occurence. Also, I don't live in San Diego, but this is the first site I came across that had this type of feature where one can post an occurence and then get feeback. I live in upstate NY, where some might say there is a considerable amount of history.
I've only been in this house for about 8 months, and 2 months after I moved here, my husband and I woke up to a strange odor. It smelled like burnt food, and I attributed it to the fact that I had accidentally burned some rice I had been attempting to fry.
My husband went downstairs and he came back up, telling me that I wouldn't believe what he had just seen. He proceeded to tell me that when he went into the kitchen, he discovered that all four burners of our stove were on, as if someone had gone in and set them all to the same intensity. I didn't believe him, but when I stepped into the kitchen, I could feel heat radiating out of the kitchen leading me to believe that the flames had been on for a while.
Nothing has happened since then, not even when we finally brought our dogs to the house and I thought they might be able to sense if something was wrong. Is this sort of thing usual with a haunting? thanks for any feedback!

well about your sightings you should try to ask the ghost why arev u bothering me use a tape recorder and ask questions like whats your name ect. if the ghost is fond of u it can be a total advantage but if it becomes worse u should think about blessing the home or such.

One night when I was sitting in my room, watching tv I heard a noise. Thinking it was my sister I got up and went to open my door, when all of a suden I felt really cold. It was a cold chill going down my spine. When I opened the door I saw a small shadow like figure standing in the hallway. I went back in my room and went to sleep. Ever since I was little my dad would yell at me and my sister for sleeping on the living room couch. Well one night I couldn't help but to fall asleep on the couch. When I woke up I saw a little boy in the hallway. Then all of a sudden he took of into my room. At first I thought it was my dad's girlfriend's son. Then I got to thinking. My dad came up and said "Whats wrong with you? You look like you saw a ghost." I said "You are going to answer that for me". I asked him if there was any one there. He then said "No". "The Ghost Light"
One night I was sitting in the living room watching Childs Play. I was all alone in the house. Witch was weird cause I was only 8 years old. Well when Chucky went off I was going to my room to go to sleep. Well in between my room and my brothers room is the attick. Witch to get into the attick you half to pull the stairs down. Well I heard some foot steps up their. But the stairs were still up. So know one could of been up their. Even thow I am 17 now I still can't reach the cord to pull the stairs down. But Then their was a light in the attick. Kind of like someone was walking around up there with a flash light. Well the light was only able to be seen threw the cracks, but it was like someone was shaking the flashlight. Then I said "Hello". Know answer but the flashlight pointed down at me, and then died out. After that I didn't hear anyone up their or even any one come down.
UFO #1: The first UFO I ever saw was in Kentucky Russlle Springs my home town. Me and my sister was sitting on the back deck looking at all the stars when a we spotted a bright white light in the sky movie in a very strange path. It would stop thin speed up really quickly and zigg zagg all around the sky. The last thing we saw of the mysteries light in the sky it was just sitting their not even movie thin took of like a bullet and we never saw it again.
UFO #2: The first thing I noticed about UFO #2 was the deferent color of lights. It was just weird knowing that you may be looking at something out of this world literary. It was moving very fast and their was not a sound to be herd. The reason I think it was a UFO is because I have seen plains fly higher than the objected in the sky was and I could here it fine but I couldn't here the objected.
GHOST #1: I remember I was just 7 years of age at this moment but I was laying in by bed trying to fall asleep when I finally went to sleep I got a head ache and woke up. At the end of my bed was a strange Red Eyed creature standing their watching me. But at first I thought it was my sister trying to scare me so I got up to hit her for scaring me. But I couldn't hit it. I turned on my light and their was something that looked like a grim reaper but I was so scared I yelled for my dad but he just thought it was because I had no light in my room because I was in the basement by my self. Ever since The creature that I saw that fateful night I still see it every day of my life. I just call him "Red Eyes".
GHOST #2: This is where I get the name "Hellface". One night on Halloween some guy was walking down the street he was very big and I yelled nice costume he looked at me and thin walked over to my porch. Red Eyes was already on the porch. Red Eyes just stood their. The man had pure black eyes and burned tare on his face. It was a scary sight to see but I thought it was just a prop. He also had overalls on and an axe in his right hand. He was burned all over his body. The man said "Death is thy name Hell is thy game".Ever since he has been with me watching my every movement. I call him "Hellface". Ever since I had my first Paranormal encounter with my inner demons I have learned to respected the Paranormal and my demons.
GHOST #3: My other encounter with life after death is with two little ghostly kids in my room. I was doing some research on the Amityville Horror the truth. When I herd someone knocking at my door. I thought it was my dads girlfriend's kids so I went to open the door I always keep my door locked. But any way I went to open it and their was a little girl in a light blue dress with a yellow bow in her hair I said hi who are you? She just ran away laughing so I looked up and thought to myself could that be a ghost? I went to investigate. When I went into my living room I saw the same little girl sittin on the couch with a little boy sitting on the other side of her. They both went running in my room. I thought the little boy looked allot like Donaven. I was standing their looking in the back room when all of a sudden my dad turned the corner. He said "What's wrong" I said is Donaven here? He said "No why"? I said I thought he just ran into my room. He said that know one was their. I went back their to find the two kids and their was know one their. I looked high and low but nothing no sing of any one even being in the house.

To be more effective in telling of tall tales it is better, if the tale is not told in first person. The telling of the story in second person that is happening to someone else gains sympathy for the character and in the reader's mind. Even a small sense of credibility, a story in first person leaves no real sense peril. Since you're writing the story apparently you came out just fine. Here is a very small example, based on your old red eyes story. By the way you know Visine does get the red out.
Bonnie, was only seven years of age. When she first encountered the beast about to fall asleep she rolled over on her right side. Then heard a noise from the corner of the room. It was extremely dark. The bulb in her nightlight had gone out Bonnie's father promised to put a new one in but it would not be until tomorrow "too late to go out tonight sweetheart." Her father's words still resonate through her mind as a dark ominous specter appears at the foot of her bed too terrified to screen she clutches to the bed clothes. Two red dots appear in the specters eyes, they become brighter until the entire room is flooded with a red light, as if it were sunset. The dark specter seemed to disappear into the wall. Bonnie is left there clutching to the bedclothes and staring straight ahead. This is the way they found her the next morning. Even to this day. The only words that Bonnie can mumble is "red eyes."
One of the great things about telling tells when they are told in the second person. You don't have the burden of being quizzed as to either its authenticity or credibility. For example, if Bonnie can only say the words red eyes how do we know what happened to her?

My girlfriend moved into an apt one block from a graveyard and up till 4 wks ago had no problems but then a mysterious "odor" started appearing for short stints in her bedroom. Much like old milk and fecees for lack of better explanation. One night she and her sister (who was visiting) were in bed when their door started to rattle. I was in the next room not two feet away in the office. She opens the door and rests it an inch or so open. As soon as she returns to the bed it slams. Slams so hard our dishes rattled. I have tried to slam it that hard myself and cannot. And no no windows were open. But the smell was present at that time. Things became incereasingly unusual. We spoke very directly about how we would have it removed. In return it began turning off the tv. We read not to do that and appologised. It backed off for a night, then it began pulling on her ear and pulling my fingers and poking my lower back. THEN, she goes and leaves me in the apt for a week by myself. Now I'm alone and it has began shaking the couch, making footsteps outside my door along the upper level porch. Casting crazy thin rolling black shadows all over the room. Shadows "appearing to lurk" around my pillow the floor the doorways. Moving the chairs in the kitchen, switching on and off lights and whistling to me. It will also change channels on the tv and shive the bed when i close my eyes to sleep. And it loves to wake me at 3 am eery night. I have tried to speak with it and ask it to calm itself so I can sleep. I'm at a loss, but I have given it attention and have tried also to ignore. I can go on like this, and I'm not moving. I don't make enough for that to be an option. Any advice?
At this point it is slaming doors in the other apts and there is no other tenants here. Oh and it has amazing ability to manifest into what appears as large clumps of dust that morph and roll upon themselves. And no it isn't dust nor strained eyes. At this point everyone I know has witnessed things here. I could use the help.

My 3 year old daughter keeps telling me there is a girl in her house and once she started saying that i can hear banging upstairs when my 3 kids are sleeping. When i go up to check the kids are sleeping and there is nothing there. I can feel cold spots every now and then when i go upstairs. My friend came over the one day and he had $15 on him and it completely disappeared. My daughter tried to tell me what the girl wanted but i couldn't really understand what she said. Is a ghost trying to communicate with me through my daughter?

i need to know if my house is haunted.things comes up missin tvs cut on an off and i always feel somebody starring at me. will somebod let me know something. and u can hear foot steps walking up an down the hall when everybody is asleep. the history on my house said somebody passed away in the livin room..

Okayy i feel like my house is haunted, i have more then one "thing" or "ghost" here. some are bad and some are good. i often see shadows and flashes of a man. always wearing a hat. or a young boy. my address used to be 8666. i thought that meant something because of the last three digits. i can feel the presnce of most of all the spirits in my home and they like to give warnings. i hear voices sometimes telling me everythings okayy , but others saying leave now your in danger. what should i do?

Yo! Okay heres the deal, I do have an atic but nothings go on up there, and we don't have a basemeent, We have dog, anyhow, When I'm alone like playing my game and what not my dog just randomly barks at the wall...But hes a good dog he don't bark just because he wants to, And no one was out side makeing any noise, and anyhow when I'm in a serten room I get a creepy feeling like some one is whacting me. Oh and did I tell you? That my grandpaw died in this very room that my computer it. I get creeped out the most in here. And when I'm not looking or not paying attion I see shadows. Like one time I was in the computer(The one that my grandpaw use for his room witch now we turned it into a computer room) When I don't use a lamp or anything I see a shadow figer...tall and dark, and when I look over I can see it...Looking back at me, I get nervise and stop what I'm doing and log off of the computer. And when I'm with my grandmother I don't feel as creeped out as much, But I feel like theres something there. My dog, Some times he won't go in the room the computer room or the room I'v been in(Witch where he barks at the wall.) and he barks at diffrint placese and growlse under the bed and when he feels like I'm thrted he jumps on the bed and sleeps close up to me. And one time when I was in my room I made sure that my T.V was off, And all of a sudden it came on!!! Does this mean that my house is Hanted? I need answeers! I'm not sure if its my grandpaw or what! But hell! I'm freaked out!

Hi, I have a personal believe that spirit can't bless or pray for themselves in the other world. Just offer your blessing to them for resting in peace since you just wanted to stay in the house and not disturb each other.

I have a 2 year old little girl (she doesn't speak or talk yet) and a 4 month old little boy. My husband and I moved into our house over three years ago. During the first year we just had this 'feeling' that something was in our house.
I really started having this feeling when I would be in the shower. It just felt like someone was in there with me. I would just get into the shower, the water hasn’t even touched my back yet, but I felt something running down my back such as a stream of water or a light touch. I would turn around and no one was there and my back would be dry.
Even our dog started acting strange. She will be in a dead sleep, jump up and bolt out of the room like something just pinched her, but nothing or no one is around her and she was fine at our previous home.
When we had our first child she was a great baby the first 3 months and then something changed. She was a totally different baby. For the past 2 years of her life I would joke and call her 'my little devil' because she was so difficult, moody, and seemed angry all the time. My pediatrician can attest to her behavior. We even had her screened for autism. The tests came back saying she was fine, but my husband and I knew something was wrong.
Well within the last 3-4 months my daughter has been very scared to go in her room. Every time we would go to put her down for her nap or bed time, she would scream and fight and you could look in her eyes and see fear. Since she doesn't talk, we didn't know what was wrong. She would scream and scream and keep us up until 3 am, by that time she couldn't fight sleep anymore. But she would be up again at 6am. She wouldn't even go into her room to play in the middle of the day. And when we leave the house, she is better. She is happy to be out of the house.
My husband also feels all around better and doesn't have headaches when he is out of the house.
Also, we have horrid nightmares (my husband and I) and get terrible sleep.
My husband and I are not religious, but he got into a discussion with a coworker and they suggested that we put a cross in her room. My husband called and asked my thoughts about hanging a cross in her room and I said it was definitely worth a shot. So I went and a hung a cross in her room above her bed. Immediately it felt like her room wasn't congested, it seemed clearer if that makes sense. Since then she has no problem going in her room. She jumps right into her bed for nap time and bed time. And she sleeps through the entire night.
Is my house haunted? If so, why is the spirit going after my daughter and will my son be next? How do I protect them?
I am sorry for the long post; I am just out of my realm here.

hi!
ok, this realy freaked me out, about a month ago, I saw a dark, awful looking shadow walk across the front of my bed, my bed is next to my door, so it walked out my door. I was a nervous wreck for about a week. Last Wednesday, 2 days ago for me, I saw the figure again, only this time it tried to rub my feet at the edge of the bed!!!! I didn't know what to do at the time, so I simply kicked it away, closed my eyes for about 5 seconds, and reopened my eyes and it was gone. I don't know what to do about this; I've taken pictures, and recorded things, in the recording all I found were awful, scary, and aggressive, noises. In the pictures I only found 1 worth telling the story, it was a dark manifestacion, standing in the corner of the picture. I don't know what to do, my friends and family just say I'm starving for attention.

hi, since my boyfriend moved into my house 2 years ago we have had all kinds of strange things happening.im from the uk by the way.i feel like im going insane, my little girl swears she has seen a man looking at her through a window but nobody else could see anything, we have had many things break for no apparent reason and the house always seems cold,things have intensified over the past week or so, things moving when i know i have put it in a certain place, footsteps when there has been nobody about. hand prints on the windows when i know nobody has touched them because ive just cleaned them.then to top it off a local woman told me that two elderly twin sisters used to live here and they always complained of a male presence in the house. the television turns itself off or swaps channels without anyone touching it. i have 3 small children and this is beginning to frighten them even though i shield them from it as much as i can.am i crazy or is my house haunted? i saw a programme that told you to try and ask the spirit questions but im scared that it will make things worse.

HI, MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING STRANGE THINGS IN OUR HOME. WE BOUGHT THIS HOUSE ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO AND THERE HASN'T BEEN A PROBLEM UNTIL ABOUT A FEW MONTHES AGO, WELL WE HAVE SEEN SHADOWS AND HEARD NOISES BEFORE BUT WE WOULD IGNORE THEM. BUT RECENTLY FRAMES HAVE FALLEN FROM THE WALLS AND DISHES HAVE FALLEN OUT FROM THE SINK WITHOUT ANY RESONABLE EXPLANATION, AND LAST WEEK OUR HEATER WHICH HEATS UP THE WHOLE HOUSE CAME ON WHILE WE WERE ALL STILL SLEEPING, AND JUST THIS MORNING MY SON'S TODDLER BED WAS RIGHT NEXT TO OUR BED. HIS BED IS A FIRE TRUCK AND IS HEAVY AND HE IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD SO I KNOW HE DID NOT MOVE IT AND MY SEVEN YEAR OLD WAS NOT HOME. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE WHAT IS HAPPENING IS MORE OBVIOUS. SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

This Just happened to me this morning at 2:40am and wow it scared the heck out of me. My brother bought this house in michigan from back taxes. Since I do all the remodeling on these houses it was no big deal when the new one came aboard. I always do my remodeling at night and nothing ever happens. I am not really into the paranormal stuff but i do watch it on TV every now and then. Well I was in one of the bed rooms with the music loud just painting away when I heard this LOUD bang. It sounded like someone just kicked the front door open so i ran out with something to defend myself with and nothing was there and everything was fine. No sooner then I step out of the room then my lap top sound shut off and the music stopped. I went over to the laptop and the minute I step in front of the laptop the music started playing again and everything went back to normal. I gathered up all my things and high tailed it out of there. This happened at 2:40am. I went back there later today and everything was normal. What I really cant figure out is that the paint I use goes on fine in any other room but in that particular room no matter how thick the paint is it runs like water on a wall. Does anyone have an explanation for this?
