I remember this from back in the 1970's. About 10 years ago there were devices that claimed they could detect your aura and someone had decided what each color represented. It would be nice to know if any solid research is actively being done and how things have progressed.
Apparently there is further research going on. The following excerpt is from the Wikipedia link:
"Current research continues by Dr. Konstantin Korotkov in the Russian University, St. Petersburg State Technical University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. Dr. Korotkov has published several books. He uses GDV (Gas Discharge Visualization) based on the Kirlian Effect. GDV instruments use glass electrodes to create a pulsed electrical field excitation (called "perturbation technique") to measure electro-photonic glow. The Korotkov methods are used in some hospitals and athletic training programs in Russia and elsewhere as preventive measurements for detecting stress. The Russian Academy of Science has approved the GDV techniques and equipment in 1999 for general clinical use, though the "approval", according to the certificates Dr. Korotkov himself is showing in his various web sites, only covers conformity with general electrical safety (standards 61010 and 61326). There has been some published research in peer-reviewed scientific journals regarding GDV and related material, including several articles in the Journal of Applied Physics and in IEEE articles."
Sorry, was doing this late at night and the power ran out when I was pasting
FIXED MY SPELLING of "CONSCIOUSNESS" ABOVE
Korotkov has taken this further and developed what is being called "GDV bioelectrography technique". This technology is being used as a DIAGNOSTIC TOOL in Medicine.
1. Diagnostics of human state
GDV system of Prof Korotkov has unergone extensive clinical trials in Russia and its diagnostic accuracy has been found to be better than 95%. The system has been approved by Russian Academy of Science for use in medical industry without limitations. GDV acceptance in Finland and Sweden will soon be followed in other advanced countries.
On the basis of the above, the most obvious application of the GDV system is an aid in medical diagnostics. GDV data acquisition and analysis can be performed in seconds, without a need to undress a patient.
The weakest organs/subsystems in the body/mind system can be identified at a glance as a disruption in harmony and coherence of the recorded electrophotonic glow. GDV sofware assists in data analysis.
The speed, accuracy and comprehensiveness of GDV diagnostics are stunning. They cannot be matched using any other human state monitoring technology available on Earth today.
2. Monitoring response to treatment
Since electrophotonic GDV images contain comprehensive information about human state at the moment of recording, they can be used to monitor human response to treatments.
It doesn't actually matter what treatment you choose to investigate using GDV. It can be chemical/hormonal, herbal or homeopatic medicine, accupuncture, remote healing or a placebo treatment.
GDV technique enables us to explore and quantify response of any person to any treatment.
A typical procedure involves recording a person's initial state and the state after the treatment has been applied. In most cases it is obvious within a few minutes whether the treatment has a positive, disruptive or neutral effect for a given person. It is important to minimize all other influences during the test.
3. Estimating treatment effectiveness
By recording the human state at some time intervals after a treatment has been applied (typically minutes or hours), it is possible to estimate if the treatment has a temporary or a systematic effect on the human state.
4. Comparing therapies
GDV method of human state assessment enables comparing various therapies and estimating the best therapy for any given person/condition.
5. Testing new treatments
Since electrophotonic GDV glow seems to reflect the state of human consciousness, rather than just the body, it is possible to estimate the effect of a new treatment BEFORE actually applying it.
For example, it is sufficient for a person to hold a medicine in his/her hand and IMAGINE taking it to estimate what would happen if the medicine was really taken.
This method is being used to study the effectiveness and applicability of homeopatic medicines at Melbourne College of Natural Medicine in Australia. "
Korotkov's work has been of interest to me for many years now. His GVD camera technology is quite simple but effective. It is not for the faint of heart either financially or technically. What we are beginning to understand is that the human body is actually a laboratory for edge science. It seems that there are processes that are a part of normal biofunction which Western scientists simply do not understand at the deepest levels. For this reason, there is much misinterpretation of these sorts of data. However, properly interpreted, devices such as the GVD camera provide basic and fascinating insights into the true nature of DNA function, the body's healing process, the biohologram and the nature of space and reality itself.
Thank you for your comment. I heard about Kirlian photography through references made to it in several books that had channeled messages. All referred to this as being the closest representation of our Aura, or spiritual LIGHT BODY. It is fascinating.
The Russians and all neighboring Eastern European cultures have never dismissed the existence of the soul (spiritual body) and it's very much part of their cultural lore.
