I remember this from back in the 1970's. About 10 years ago there were devices that claimed they could detect your aura and someone had decided what each color represented. It would be nice to know if any solid research is actively being done and how things have progressed.
Apparently there is further research going on. The following excerpt is from the Wikipedia link:

Korotkov has taken this further and developed what is being called "GDV bioelectrography technique". This technology is being used as a DIAGNOSTIC TOOL in Medicine.

1. Diagnostics of human state
GDV system of Prof Korotkov has unergone extensive clinical trials in Russia and its diagnostic accuracy has been found to be better than 95%. 2. Monitoring response to treatment
Since electrophotonic GDV images contain comprehensive information about human state at the moment of recording, they can be used to monitor human response to treatments.
It doesn't actually matter what treatment you choose to investigate using GDV. It can be chemical/hormonal, herbal or homeopatic medicine, accupuncture, remote healing or a placebo treatment.
GDV technique enables us to explore and quantify response of any person to any treatment.
A typical procedure involves recording a person's initial state and the state after the treatment has been applied. Korotkov's work has been of interest to me for many years now. His GVD camera technology is quite simple but effective. It is not for the faint of heart either financially or technically. What we are beginning to understand is that the human body is actually a laboratory for edge science. It seems that there are processes that are a part of normal biofunction which Western scientists simply do not understand at the deepest levels. For this reason, there is much misinterpretation of these sorts of data. However, properly interpreted, devices such as the GVD camera provide basic and fascinating insights into the true nature of DNA function, the body's healing process, the biohologram and the nature of space and reality itself.
Thank you for your comment. I heard about Kirlian photography through references made to it in several books that had channeled messages. All referred to this as being the closest representation of our Aura, or spiritual LIGHT BODY. It is fascinating.
The Russians and all neighboring Eastern European cultures have never dismissed the existence of the soul (spiritual body) and it's very much part of their cultural lore.
