If anyone has a major problem with ghosts or evil spirits in their house, maybe contact the group from the Paranormal State show. I know it sounds kind of goofy but that group does seem to do a good job of researching the ghosts and getting them to leave. They only respond to the most severe cases, so I don't know if they would be able to get to everyone. But, it may be worth a try. They seem to be very helpful and concerned people so maybe if someone would opt out of being on camera and on tv, and keep the situation private they would understand and respect that. Another thing that would be good, and is available to anyone, is to have a priest bless the house. That would drive out evil spirits and the prayers would help ghosts move on, and is good in general for a dwelling environment, even if the place does not seem to be haunted. A house blessing is actually an excorcism! I hope these suggestions help, and I hope the ghosts don't drive you bonkers. There is help out there!
I could not DISAGREE more with the statements made above. If you are expecting a television show to assist you, please think again. They are a business and their purpose is to make money. There is nothing wrong with this but they are designed to entertain and sell advertising. Do not expect what you see to be real.
A house blessing is NOT an exorcism. There are people who charge for these so called blessings and clearings. Buyer beware!!
Does Paranormal State charge people for thier services? I don't know, I just know what I see but if they charge people than they shouldn't be doing that. It just seems like they have had a lot of experiences themselves and want to help people.
Second, yes, a house blessing by a Catholic priest IS technically an excorcism. So is a baptism. Any process which contains certain prayers for driving out demons is considered an excorcism. Just ask a competent Catholic priest. Priests do not charge for house blessings, at least mine doesn't.
I know we all have different beliefs/experiences/ideas and that is ok. I felt it was important for me to share.
