Interesting how the Estate has been relentlessly pursuing the copyright infringement of Michael's name by the foundation.
They certainly were not this steadfast in going after Discovery. Although the foundation and the show are separate concepts, the use of Michael's name is still needed by both. My opinion is that the Estate approved Discovery's use of the name.
The Estate is in their usual sneaky and underhanded modus operandi.
Well, I hope the media does not miss this one. Let's see...

Correct me if I am wrong but has the "estate" backed anything that was done in the name of charity?
Brian Oxman came out publicly and said that Michael had approved the Heal the World Foundation and they were doing the work he wanted them to do and Michael had worked with them for years.
The "estate" has done everything to smear them in the media as frauds and take away their funding. The foundation does currently own several trademarks. They claim they contacted the estate and notified them the trademarks were about to expire. The foundation says the estate ignored them so they bought the trademarks to prevent fraud.
It is a very interesting case. Bonnie

I recall much of this. And yes whatever happened to carrying on Michael's charitable actions? This was a big part of what Michael was about. Where is the establishment of any charity in Michael's name? Quite the opposite they seem to want to squash all of that.
I find it very interesting too. And I sure hope this situation gets the attention it deserves.
Sadly Larry Nimmer did not have accurate information when he made this video. He has corrected this in the 2nd video. I don't know if we will ever know what went on behind closed doors and the settlement has been sealed. Another sad day for justice and the justice system. It is the Golden Rule...those will the gold rule.
Wondering outloud here about what was Ed Chernoff's part in these negotiations. I was kind of surprised to hear his name in the mix.
