Over the past 11 or so years that Ive lived in my 1908 home, Ive seen several "guests" standing, running, hovering, and walking into walls. These people range in age, race and gender. They also range in full body and partial. I think Ive gotten over my fears and occassionally ask what they want. I never get a reply. I have no idea what they want. Ive been told it was my imagination. Is it?

HI,

period clothing.

ive seen a bearden man in a red flannel, a older women in pale blue dress n whit gloves holding a purse, a black man in civil war garments and riffle, a blonde woman in a yellow sun dress, a jolly fat black man hovering in a doorman?? jacket, and a bare chested boy running into my bed. the woman in the blue dress is the only one seen twice. I ask them what they want, but never get an answer. I try and ignore them anymore.

wow!
sounds like you live on Loretta Lynn's Hurricane Mills Plantation!
hmm.. do you hear any sounds--tappings, rappings, or footsteps? If you own the home, do you know who the previous owners were? It is unusual to see so many ghosts, they are more often just noisy, but it can happen. Are you scared?
In the haunted house I grew up in, there were more than a few apparitions--my mom once saw a man in white pants(only the torso and legs appeared)walk into my parents bedroom from the darkened living room. We were just coming home one night, no one was in the house, and she saw him as she was turning the key.My dad once saw a woman in a white gown glide into our bedroom, a few inches off the ground, in the early morning hours.
Other phenomena included tapping noises and my sister hearing a party, complete with plates clanking and old time music, while opening the back door one day. As she opened the door she heard someone say, "Shush, she's coming," and all of the sounds stopped. She was only 15 years old at the time but said she was not scared, in fact, as she settled into the empty house she felt very relaxed and comforted. Weird.
The previous tenants of the house before my family bought it were two sisters who were both nurses. I have considered the possibility that the house may have been used as a hospice for the dying, or that they simply brought indigent people home for care and they passed there.
I hope I don't scare you, but I think your house may have been used at one time as a boarding house, or used to treat the sick and dying.
If that is the case then you, my friend, are on hallowed ground, and God has chosen you to live there because you are a kind and gentle soul.
The healing has begun.
