LAKE LURE, NC. (WOFL FOX 35) - A haunting discovery at a North Carolina hotel after a picture taken at the Lake Lure Inn and Spa has people seeing ghosts.

One of the hotel's managers, Patrick Bryant, took the photo in the dining room of what he thought was just an ice sculpture. "I turned off the flash so I could see the light shining through the ice sculpture," said Bryant.

But after he posted the photo online many people asked him who the boyish apparition is in the background. "Sure enough there's a transparent picture of what appears to be a ghost," said Bryant.

Bryant says this isn't the first ghost story at the hotel. "We've also heard laughter at night time, as well as footsteps in those hardwood floors."

Bryant says most visitors are intrigued by the history of ghost sightings but two years ago one couple checked out after hearing the news.
