I thought this was interesting. I thought I would start a thread to document the up-coming events that will surround Michael's celebrated birth date (born August 29, 1958).
Las Vegas, July 14, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / prurgent) Michael Jackson’s United Nation International Fan Club (MJSUNIFC), will host their Official 6th Annual Michael Jackson Fan Convention “COME TOGETHER,” on August 26th, 27th, and 28th 2011, in Las Vegas, NV. The Convention will take place inside The Theater of The Stars Showroom at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino.
This event has been continuously supported and attended by members of the Jackson family, as well as various celebrities, for the past 5 years as the Official FIRST and Original Annual Michael Jackson Fan Convention. Last year La Toya Jackson called in live to offer her support and was quoted saying, “I love you guys, and keep up the good work. Please keep it going. Let’s keep Michael’s legacy alive.”
Every year, dedicated Michael Jackson fans come to this convention from all around the world to celebrate the life and legacy of Michael Jackson, “The King of Pop,” through music and education, with the people he adored the most - his fans.
This Three Day Event To Include:
Top professional tribute artists from Las Vegas, impersonators, MJ Pop Idol Show, dance party, live production shows, MJ birthday celebration, Picnic, group site seeing trips, dance instruction, award ceremony, special guests, contests, silent auction and more.
Michael Jackson’s United Nation has also hosted several previous events, including the Official “This Is It,” movie premiere in Las Vegas, NV (held at Brenden Theatres inside the Palms Hotel and Casino), and is the owner of the Official “It’s All For Love…L.O.V.E.” charity division of MJSUNIFC, providing volunteers to help with various charities locally and abroad.
I thought about attending and bringing my camera, but I don't think I'm going to be able to attend that event this year. Perhaps next year, when I'm out of credit card debt and have built up my savings account, I might make a Vegas trip. My mother would love to see Las Vegas since she's never been there. That would certainly be one way to please her while doing something supportive of Michael and his fans.
I'm saving my vacation time to cover at least a couple of days of Murray's upcoming trial. I think Judge Pastor will be meeting with the prosecution and the defense tomorrow to find out if both sides will be ready for a September 8th start date. I doubt they'll be ready, but we'll have to wait and see.
I want to personally thank you for taking vacation days to attend Murray's trial. Your work and coverage and insight are so appreciated. Just wanted to say thank you!
You're so very welcome. All of Michael's fans and supporters are a part of my thoughts and efforts when I attend these events, as is Michael himself and his family. I think everyone is doing his or her part, as best as he or she can. Together, we make a difference.
