Hello to fellow board members and our lurkers! This is the first part of a two part video covering the first day of Conrad Murray's trial. The next segment will follow upon completion of the editing. I attended on September 27th, 28th and the 30th. My comments and any notes I may have about those days will be posted soon.

Hi Carmen,

Thank you for the video information concerning the first days of Murrays trial. You sure have been a Phenomenal force and have sacrificed much time away from work and family to document this for us. Thank you very much!

Michael Jackson's family looks really well (considering). I am glad to see (it appears) they are holding up so well. God bless them. It must be a terrible thing to go through; especially after sitting through the other trials back in 2005. I can not begin to know how Michael Jackson’s family must feel. Today must have been an especially hard day hearing Michael's voice in that iPod.

I did not realize there was that many reporters present. A shocking revelation! Plus all the reporters inside, as you mentioned. Wow!

There is a woman with a purple dress that acts as if she is a reporter in the beginning and again at the end. Who is she?

I send Love and Prayers your way. I look forward to the next video.

Dear Carmen,

Thank you so so much for this first installment of your excellent upates. It is interesting to see the media being observed by you. It does appear that there is a pretty big media presence there. It is nice to view the environment outside the building without the typical "noise" the MSM superimposes over the footage. And thank you so much for taking the time to be there for Michael and for being OUR eyes and ears on the scene.

I really liked the words on the poster you zoomed in on which says "You Can Not Kill the Light". So very true.

Love,
Irina

Hi Marleneho.

Thank you for your kind words of support. I actually didn't lose any time from work since I planned my two week vacation to coincide with Murray's trial. Had the trial started on the 20th, as originally planned, I would have been able to attend a few more days.

The Jackson family members I saw were all well dressed, each with their own sense of personal style. Michael's sisters usually wore high heels, and on Tuesday, they all wore platforms with high heels, as I recall. Katherine is always nicely and conservatively dressed. Everyone made an effort to look their best. And yes, this trial must be very hard on the family. They will be seeing and hearing things pertaining to Michael and the treatment (or lack thereof) that he received that they never heard before. I'm sure they've already learned some things that they didn't know before.

Yes, there were MANY members of the press, including journalists, reporters and photographers.

I'm not sure which lady you're referring to as I haven't watched the video recently enough to know. It may be Pearl Jr., in which case you'll recognize her in the second video. I'll have to look again to see if I recognize the woman you're referring to.

Much love,
Carmen

Hello dearest Irina!

You're so very welcome. And yes, there were many members of the media present. It was PACKED. I felt like a human sardine at one point, when Janet and Randy were exiting the court house in the afternoon.

I deliberately focused on the lovely artwork and sign with Michael Jackson and the words, "You cannot kill the light." You could feel and see the love for Michael from his fans that day. Michael had a very special connection with his fans in life, and it continues in death. Even Jane Velez-Mitchell has noticed this and commented on it very recently in an interview of hers I read online. She has actually treated Michael's fans and supporters with great respect, from what I've seen so far. I have to give her credit for that. Some people resent the coverage of the trial by HLN, but I must say, based on my own experience, that Jane and HLN have given Michael's fans a platform to be heard.

I am honored to be the eyes and ears of others who cannot be there in person. I know you're there in spirit!

If there are any fans and supporters in the Los Angeles area and nearby counties, it would be wonderful if you could spend a day or two at the trial, either inside the court house in the hallway, or even better, outside the court house where you'll be seen - and maybe even interviewed and heard - by the MSM. This is an excellent opportunity to stand up for Michael and for the truth, whatever you believe that truth to be. Just thought I'd put in that request for anyone close enough to the down town area to attend. Many of the fans I saw were from outside the United States. Where are my fellow Los Angeles MJ fans? Let's get out there!

Much love,
Carmen

Thank you for the latest update Carmen :)

Jim Moret has been consistent in being sympathetic toward Michael. Wish there were more like him in '05.

Yes, I am wondering the same about the local LA fans.

And yes, I forgot to mention last time that all of the artwork that was out there is great. You can feel the love.

Also you make a valid observation about Jane Valez. Even with her sensationalist tone at the HLN desk, so far she is doing OK with regards to being out and about the courthouse and actually tuning into what the people out there are projecting and giving them a voice.

Much love,
Irina
