Note from Bonnie Vent: If you have not seen these videos please take a look. It shows clearly how the media misrepresented who Michael Jackson really was and his frustration. The first video is somewhat of an admission of this from Martin Bashir. Only upon Michael Jackson's death does he decide to speak a little truth. This is just a reminder to go get the facts, think for yourself before judging others. It seems in human nature the uglier the lie the more people believe it and spread it to others as fact.

This is my second viewing. I watched it when it was originally shown. This second viewing gives me a deeper perspective, especially now that there is so much confusion surrounding Michael's untimely and criminal death (with Bashir's help).

Martin Bashir has been hired by MSNBC to anchor Dateline. So many people who are aware of Bashir's bashing of Michael Jackson are sending their courteous, but righteous anger to MSNBC for hiring a well known fabricator and pass him off as a 'journalist'.

Search: msnbc hires martin bashir

You will get a wealth of information about how people feel and what they are doing.

It is most apparent that Bashir (Basher?) worked his way into high positions by applying spiteful, negative 'reporting' on Michael. MSNBC has sunk LOW in hiring Bashir. This person's reputation is that of a tabloid liar. His agenda was fame and money, and MSNBC doesn't care what damage Bashir has done. How can we take MSNBC *news* seriously knowing a fabricator is spewing out ... who knows what?

It's CNN for me. FOX was out a very long time ago. I'm so thoroughly disappointed in what was once my favorite 'news' network with Olbermann, Maddow and Schultz.

I needed to expose this situation in hopes that MSNBC will reconsider.

Thank you.

I agree MMM I am very disappointed with MSNBC. I watch CNN too as Fox news is far from the far and balanced network they claim to be. Honestly I watch very little CNN I find the news to be very depressing.

I just finished watching all of the videos in the link. Bashir did a slam job on Michael. There's no other polite was of putting it. His words of acknowledgment that nothing inappropriate took place at Neverland involving children is too little too late. Michael would have been wise to listen to Rabbi Schmuly in this one regard: Do not give any interviews at this point in time to anyone, especially the media. The Rabbi did advise Michael wisely in that regard, as he felt Michael was too vulnerable and would be taken advantage of. I think he was also wise to advise Michael to forgive his father, which Michael did.

I am not taking sides here in terms of supporting the various people who have written books about Michael and their interaction with him, but rather pointing out that even people whom we may find fault with have their moments of wisdom, accuracy or just plain old being right when looking back with hindsight.

Michael was very wise to have his own camera running during this interview. I learned years ago while working on a certain TV show that editors are extremely powerful. They can save a lousy performance, and they can influence our perceptions of things we see and hear.

I think if anyone really wants to learn about and come to better understand Michael Jackson, that person needs to keep an open mind, first and foremost, and take in information from many different sources. While taking in that information, that person must also use critical thinking skills and question the possible motives and agendas of the sources being used for research. Just because something is said during an interview, or written in a book, does not automatically make it the gospel truth.

Something else to note: Whether a person is a major entertainer, like Michael Jackson, or very skilled and experienced psychic such as Bonnie Vent, the greater that person's success or influence over others, the greater the likelihood that pot-shots, cheap shots, and personal attacks will take place. As Michael's influence grew, so did the mockery, ridicule, harassment and attempts to bring him down. He posed a threat to some people. When that happens, whether one is famous or not, it means one is having an impact.

Thank you again, Bonnie, for sharing these. I watched some of them last year in the late summer, I believe, but it was good to refresh my memory and to see objectivity in reporting.

Much love,
Carmen

Hi Carmen,

I watched these last Summer and Fall as well and happened to save copies of these as they were already not clean ones and I felt that they will soon be gone. I read somewhere that barely anyone watched these on TV in sharp contrast to Bashir's special. It is obvious with the help of Michael’s taped version that Bashir’s peace was edited to hurt and discredit Michael in the worst possible way. Yes he was obviously very vulnerable at that time as the Rabbi observed.

I read Rabbi Shmuley's book as well as I wanted to see his perspective of events happening around that time in Michael’s life. It was to my understanding during the period that all occurrences intensified around Michael.

And on one hand I do agree with your example of the advice given by Rabbi Shmuley to Michael as far as it would have been a wiser choice to stay away from any interviews.
On the other hand, in everything I have come to understand about Michael so far, I realize there were several reasons as to why he was tempted to do this interview with Bashir. He did not exactly leap into this blindly and I feel that he was not necessarily being careless. There was a rationale behind this move.

Michael was convinced by his own observations and some others in his immediate circle that Bashir was trustworthy as Lady Diana allowed him access as well. Michael had great admiration for Diana and felt many commonalities with her.
Also in my understanding of him and by his own admission(even in the channeled message) Michael lived life through feelings and empathy for others, the depth of which may be incomprehensible for some.

In my understanding of Michael I feel he was often driven by altruistic motives and this is another reason behind this interview. I recall reading that the fee he was to be paid for this interview was to be donated to charity for children.

Lastly the '93 allegations were haunting Michael. I am not sure if you recall my post concerning this. I read Geraldine Hughes’ book which describes that the ’93 case was kept open for six years until the statute of limitation ran out in late 1999/ early 2000. The book details how all that surrounded the case led him to settle it. Geraldine presents many supporting facts and observations and assesses that he was given the wrong advise and that he could have won the case had he gone to trial. It is my understanding that Michael desperately wanted to set the record straight about this and clear the air.

I recommend for those who have not read REDEMPTION by Geraldine Hughes to do so. It is available for a very reasonable price directly from Hughes Publishing at AbeBooks:
http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=Geraldine+Hughes&sts=t&tn=Redemption&x=66&y=15
It paints a pretty clear picture of the events surrounding Michael at that time.

And Bonnie,
I am sending you light and positive thoughts.
You are wonderful. Love Ya!
And I agree with Michael - YOU ARE A BLESSING in your own right.

Hugs

Thank you, Irina, for your observations and additional information. I very much agree with you in terms of what Michael may have wanted and meant to achieve from this experience with Bashir. How could he have known what the outcome would be? Hindsight is always 20/20.

If this interview had been handled and edited differently, it could have greatly helped Michael's public image and set some things straight and right again.

Wikipedia reports:

Rebuttal video
In an attempt to repair his image following the Bashir interview, Jackson released a second interview, called Take Two: The Footage You Were Never Meant to See (also referred to as "the rebuttal video"). This was presented by Maury Povich and contains material which Bashir omitted. It also features new interviews with people close to Jackson, such as his former wife Debbie Rowe. In this interview, she claimed it was on her request that the children wore masks in public. She also pointed out that the concept of "sharing a bed" can be misunderstood: for example, she herself likes watching TV in bed; when she has a visitor, often both watch TV together in bed. It also contains interviews with Bashir giving much different opinions than he gave in past interviews as well as in the voice-overs. He is shown praising Jackson as a father as well as saying that he thinks it's wonderful that he allows children to come to Neverland, directly contradicting the journalist's previous statements that Neverland Ranch was a "dangerous place" for children.[6]

The footage that they show in this documentary was filmed by Hamid Moslehi privately. He states that he was not "secretly" videotaping the interviews, as was popularly believed. He said Bashir knew they were also filming, but that Bashir probably didn't know that when he told his camera crew to cut, that he was still filming.

The video has been shown in a Fox Network special.[7][8]

Part of the footage was not aired because the videographer Hamid Moslehi refused to hand it over, owing to a financial dispute with Jackson.[9][10] It was found by police in a search of Moslehi's home in November 2003, and showed the accuser's family praising Jackson.

(I DO NOT KNOW HOW MICHAEL HANDLED ALL OF THIS EVIL IN HIS LIVE COMING FROM ALL DIRECTIONS! I remember reading one time that Lisa Marie Presley said she could not stand that Michael had so many "vampires" in his life")

We spoke of the falsifying of the evidence during the '05 trial in our earlier discussion in one of the threads here. I feel this belongs in this thread though.

Here is William Wagener getting Brian Oxman's take on the tampering with a key piece of trial evidence by the prosecution:

"...in the 2005 Michael J. Jackson case. In a rare moment, William Wagener, Host of On Second Thought.TV from Santa Barbara County, gets Defense Atty. Brian Oxman at the lobby of the Beverly Hills , Ca. Hilton Hotel to admit Prosecutor , the widely hated Thomas Sneddon, committed "FRAUD" in the trial. Fraud is a felony when committed to get an innocent man persecuted wrongly. THIS has not been said by any of the other Defense Atty.s to date..."

Aphrodite Jones describes this in her Conspiracy book as well.
By the way for those who still have not read it - the book is available to read on Jetzi:

Michael Jackson’s lawyer: Michael “truly believed he could heal the world”

"Michael Jackson’s lawyer is still defending his client even though he is in the grave, saying the singer was a “kind-hearted artist” who “truly believed he could heal the world”.

Tom Mesereau, who successfully represented the King of Pop in a 2005 sexual molestation trial, told CNN that he thinks Jackson was exploited and taken advantage of.

He said: “He [Jackson] was a very kind-hearted, gentle, sensitive, intuitive artist who truly believed he could heal the world in some positive way. He attracted one profiteer after another. There was loneliness, isolation, distrust. The cruellest thing of all was taking children and turning children against him.”

I read the article as well. The thing that stands out to me is at that time, he had some really loyal friends, really good people in his circle. I've read several interviews of Dieter, and he seemed to really have had Michael's interests at heart. What happened? No one had his back in the end. Were the good guys systematically eliminated?

Hi Moonlight,

I posted the William Wagener videos above wondering whether he was able to make any progress on his idea of a documentary about the trial. Based on all of his commentary I sense he would put all in the correct light.

This I feel is worthy of a contribution. I am wondering if anyone has heard anything more about this.

Some interesting comments about Gavin Arvizo from Ron Zonen who ,by the way, having LOST the case ON ALL COUNTS is still !!! convinced Michael is guilty. This kind of thinking must be stopped.

Thank God Mr. Mesereau was at this meeting. I can certainly clearly see what is driving Mr. Mesereau at this time in supporting Mr. Wagener's plan for a documentary about the trial.

Seems that Gavin is aiming for a bright future. Wondering where Gavin's conscience is...? Was there one ever...?
Does he realize the consequences of his own actions and those of the people around him who helped perpetuate the accusations and the extent of the damage they have done?

Bonnie, your board is filled with true and genuine information about Michael.
I could go on. It is worth it - for those who want it or want to learn more about Michael (those in the background who come across your site and board as well as for those trying to still cover up and hopefully gain the courage to change that) - to go back and find, (re)read it and inform oneself.

Thank you so much again, Bonnie for providing us this space to meet and share everything (also other amazing topics).
This is a real gift!

Hi there!
I got notice of a website by a very dedicated and longtime fan of Michael who has also been near him in the last weeks of his life. It is very interesting and heartbreaking to read her story and I thought this link would fit here because through reading what she experienced one can learn more about who Michael really was. HAVE YOU GUYS HEARD ABOUT THAT YET? IT'S SO DISGUSTING...

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/10/michael-jackson-molestation-trial-wedding-photos-gavin-arvizo-attends-ron-zonen

Six years after he accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing him during sleepovers at the King of Pop's Neverland Ranch, Gavin Arvizo has reunited with the prosecutor who tried to nail the singer on child molestation charges.

In a twist of fate, Gavin -- a cancer survivor -- was one of the guests at the Santa Barbara, Calif., wedding of Senior Deputy District Attorney Ron Zonen to Louise Palanker, a comedian who testified against Jackson in the notorious 2005 trial.

PHOTOS: Michael Jackson Accuser Gavin Arvizo Attends Prosecutor’s Wedding To Star Witness

The pair wed on October 1, four days after the involuntary manslaughter trial against Jackson's personal physician began in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Click here to see Gavin today and other photos of his surprise reunion, which were posted on Facebook.

Gavin’s brother Star and journalist Diane Dimond were also guests at the low key ceremony, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

PHOTOS: Michael Jackson's Kids Star In Tribute Concert

Dimond battled claims that her dogged coverage of Jackson and the trial for Court TV was strident and pro-prosecution, while Star testified that he saw the pop star fondling his brother Gavin on at least two occasions.

"Beautiful and inspirational friends," Dimond wrote on Facebook, referencing the wedding photos of Zonen and Palanker.

The Arvizo brothers have rarely been seen in public since the case ended.

In 2005, after the trial ended, Palanker told the BBC that she had developed a friendship with Gavin and "no matter what happens, I will be on the phone to make sure he is okay and hoping that he can rebuild his life."

In the 2003 TV documentary, Living with Michael Jackson, Gavin was seen holding Jackson's hand and snuggling his head in his lap as he talked about sleeping in the pop star's bed.

Later, it was Zonen who told the court that "something terribly illegal" happened at Neverland.

"They rode rides, went to the zoo, ate whatever they wanted - candy, ice cream, soda pop. There was only fun," Zonen said, in a statement to the jury, according to court records. "At night, they entered into the world of the forbidden. They learned about sexuality from someone only too willing to be their teacher."

Jackson was ultimately cleared of conspiracy to commit extortion, false imprisonment and child abduction, child molestation and giving a child, Gavin, then 13, an intoxicating drink.

Thank you for the above posted interviews, Bonnie!
I agree with Rick Zimmerman's recollections. Diane Sawyer really bored into Michael in that 1996 60 Minutes interview. I really did not like what she was doing and you could see the frustration in Michael's eyes. He threw her some very cold looks as he was feeling exasperated and basically betrayed. To my understanding it was originally intended to be a positively oriented interview.

Always love hearing about how funny and fun Michael is.

Mark Lester is absolutely correct in his observations about the trial. Difficult to hear all of that. I hope someone gets on the stand and perhaps testifies to the possibility that Michael may NOT have been an insomniac. And that the supposed insomnia may have been a symptom of something else being done TO him.

Kai Chase interview on the Today Show back in 2009.

She seems to agree with what Michael told me. He was eating and eating very healthy. She also says he was looking forward to the concerts. Pretty strange that she left for 3 weeks in May due to a contract dispute. When she returned in June she says Michael was very different. Not as vibrant.

Another snippet added to the realistic portrayal and understanding of Michael.

Wanting his children to be as unrecorded as possible - sadly this has not been the case over the past two and a half years. The thought of keeping Michael's children out of the spotlight went out the door all too fast. :(

Still a nice article. I like Carrie Fisher's sensibility.

Thank you so much for posting this Bonnie. I actually saw it pop up in my email box but did not look at it until now.

A very, very good interview! Michael Durham Prince and Lavellle Smith seem very sincere and very supportive of Michael both as a person and as a performer.

Also they are validating a lot we've come to understand about who Michael really is as a person, his unconditional love for his children, his work ethic, as well as information about the concert preparations and Michael's optimistic outlook for the future, which Michael shared with us inhis messages.

Seems that many, many people, including those who were around Michael professionally, are all exprriencing the same disbelief and uneasiness and asking the same questions with regards to Michael's passing.

It seems to be quite a murky mystery to many.

Lets keep the path lit for the truth to come out and for this mystery to be solved.

Michael did not deserve to have his life and all that he worked so hard to achieve to have stolen from him.

Love,
Irina

Hi Bonnie,

I just wanted to come back to what Deepak Chopra says in the video below Carrie Fisher's Shockaholic excerpt article above:

I think we all know who it is that Deepak speaks of here.

Deepak:
"Michael... what he got into was not of his own making.
We have a very unethical cabal of doctors, especially attached to celebrities, whose identity becomes a celebrity and then we have a co-dependent relationship. His problem with addiction was initiated and perpetuated by unethical medical practices..."

I do like his answer to the interviewer when she asks where he thinks Michael is right now.
Deepak: "He is in me and he is in you."
I love that! So very true. :)

Hugs,
Irina

Hi Ute,

I feel this belongs here as well so I am posting the video and the lyrics in this thread as well, followed by a very good article.

Lyrics

How many people will have to die before we will take a stand
How many children will have to cry, before we do all we can
If sending your love is all you can give
To help one live, mmm

How many times can we turn our heads
And pretend we cannot see
Healing the wounds of our broken earth
We are one global family
Just sending your prayers
Is something you feel
Helping one heal
What have I got that I can give
(What have I got that I can give, tell me)
What have I got that I can give, yeah, oh
To love and to teach you
To hold and to need you
What more can I give (what more can I give, yeah)

brother to brother, lay down our fears and reach out and make a pact
Show him the love that is in our hearts, let us bring salvation back
Just sending your love has the power to heal
So let's all give

What have I got that I can give
(It's not a lot to give, just a little bit)
What have I got that I can give
(Everyone should be a part of it)
To love and to teach you
To hold and to need you
What more can I give

Say the words, I'll lay 'em down for you
Just call my name, I am your friend
See then why do they keep teaching us
Such hate and cruelty
We should give over and over again

What have I got that I can give
(We should give over and over again)
What have I got that I can give
(Oh my God, oh my God)
See, to love and to teach you
To hold and to need you
What more can I give

What have I got that I can give (aah)
What have I got that I can give
(Give to you, give to you)
See, to love and to teach you
To hold and to need you
What more can I give (Oooh)

Repeat

What have I got that I can give
(Give to you, we're gonna give to you)
What have I got that I can give
To hold and conceal you
To love and to heal you
What more can I give

What have I got that I can give
(What have I got)
(Send them your prayers)
