When I checked my email this a.m., a dear friend from my other spiritual family of 35 yrs. had posted the following Mozart quote. I didn't know what thread to post it under. For me this was stunning & emotional.
“Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination nor both together go to the making of genius. Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.”
I addition to "love, love, love," I would add "creativity," "thinking outside of normal conventions and boundaries," "extreme talent" and (like Leonardo Da Vinci and other creative geniuses), being "a dreamer" is important, too. When you think about geniuses, I think you will find many of them were dreamers. They believed in so many things, and they dared to dream BIG.
Michael mentioned in "Moonwalk" how he very strongly related to this particular song, although he himself did not write it. He was a dreamer, in his own way.
Warmly, Carmen
Edited to add: I enjoyed this song very much when I first heard it, and it's one of several that I really like from the mid 1970s, during which time Michael's voice and singing style were going through some changes. When I started skimming through "Moonwalk" months ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Michael really felt connected to this song. You never know if a song you really like is one that the Artist himself or herself also really liked. (I still haven't thoroughly read "Moonwalk," but have only skimmed through sections of it. Skimming has given me some key pieces of information, but I do look forward to reading his book in detail when I can fully focus on it.)

It is amazing that Mozart said that and Michael was all about Love, Love, Love...I read from some people who believe in reincarnation that they thought that Michael was Mozart reincarnated although some think differently. I just found it interesting, once again the synchronicity of thoughts, two genius motivated by same. Important to add that Mozart's father used to push him as a young musician as well, wanted him to do well with the aristocracy, very prolific composer just like Michael. I play a little bit of piano, not as good as Irina Hale, Mozart is my favorite among the classical musicians, his music is very fresh, uplifting, happy. He started playing at the age of 5, was also composing at a very tender age, died earlier then Michael in his thirties I believe. ---------- With L.O.V.E, Anne

Thanks for your thoughts/observations on this, Anne.
I had also heard that some believe that he was Mozart reincarnated. In addition, you have pointed out some other parallels I was not aware of. Very interesting! It gives me goosebumps!!
I have heard he also played mostly classical music in his home, which was very beneficial to his children as well.
If you guys have the chance to watch the movie "Amadeus", please do it! Its an amazing movie and especially the end has (in my opinion) many similarities to Michaels life in the end.
here is one scene:
---------- "...be alive, be free, feel consciousness, subsciousness, being GOD..." MJ
This IS an amazing scene. The jealousy and the evil- I see the parallel. Have to watch the movie again. Thanks for posting this MlovesYou.
