John of God (Joao de Deus) is a Brazilian medium who claims to work with spirits while working through prayer and meditation on the thousands who come to see him in his healing centre, the Casa Dom Ignacio in central Brazil. This is the film featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show NOV 2010.

Thank you for sharing this. I started and had to stop watching the first episode. It was too much for me to stomach but I will skip over the graphic parts in my next attempt.
From what I could surmise this speaks of the potential power of the human mind.
I am going to try to go back and finish watching this soon. The possibilities presented here are astounding.

Yes Irina the individual's mind and belief system play a large part in the healing. I was amazed to see this on Oprah. It just goes to show that the world has changed and people are believing their thoughts are powerful! We are much more than we think or know. It is all amazing. We wouldn't have seen this a few years ago on main stream tv. It blew me away.
