Hi everyone;
My experience is since I was in my 20's sometimes I go to bed at night and can strongly feel someone watching me but, I can not see it. Then when I do go to sleep I am awaken by this dark shadow that sometime sits on me and paralyzes me with fear, other times it will stay in a corner and come up to with-in inches of my face. My late Mother-in-law when she was dying said to my wife and I that she has seen a little boy following me around our house and is very attatched to me, he looks at me as a father figure she said. What is the dark shadow and how do I get rid of it, or deal with it and what about the little boy???? www.hayairborne@yahoo.com

first, ask it lo leave you alone.
if that doesnt work, ask it if it needs help and if you get no reply ask it to leave again.
if that doesnt work, do a cleansing
If that doeant work, do a banishing
if that doesnt work, do a stronger banishing
if that doesnt work, find someone with experience in thse matters to help you.

My dad used to see eyes watching him when he closed
his eyes at bedtime. He mentaly pictured reaching up
and poking one in the eye quickly and hard. That was
it he never seen them again.
You can put sea salt in lunch bags in the corners of the
house, apartment or room which helps break up negative
energy fields. You can pray to god and the guardian
angels and ask for protection and assistance. But
belief in what ever you do is important. What you think
becomes reality in the energy realm. There are as many
methods as books in the library.

The experience of being watched is likely more of an hallucination than an actual interaction with a spirit. Sleep paralysis causes such hallucinations that are quite real and unbelievably detailed. It's no wonder you are concerned. But consider this could just all be in your own creation. Don't worry about why, unless it persists and interferes with your life. Then counseling may be the best course of action. A life-examination reveals many forgotten memories that make sense when put in perspective.

Your mother-in-law's reaction may have been due to her concern for you. She may have co-operated with you if you had revealed your experiences to her.

It is also possible she actually did see a little boy following you around. If this is the case, is he still around? Do you feel his presence? If so, sit down quietly by yourself and clear your mind. Now do the obvious. Ask him his name. No need to run a tape, EVPs are not what we're looking for here. What do you hear in your head? Anything? Nothing? Ask him for factual information. His age. Where is he now? What is he doing? Did he live? Where? When? How did he pass? If you get responses that check out, I would be prepared to say your mother-in-law may well have seen something. If he responds, ask him kindly to leave. Tell him you have other things to do here, and he has other places to be. Tell him he can stay as long as he doesn't bother you. That's the contract. Listen carefully to your inner thoughts. Does he respond?

I know this sounds a bit far out, but it is precisely the dialog one has with a real spirit if in fact it is present. The only thing that you might find is that, despite asking all these questions in a quiet place with no one else around, you get no response. I would suggest in that case that he does not exist, at least not now, and likely never will. Dismiss him from your mind and enjoy your life!

As to the shadows, they are often of normal cause. Our ocular perception is not what we would like to think it is. It is not uncommon for us to thread 'noise' into our perceptive mechanisms. In the visual cortex, this 'noise' appears as lapses (shadows) or white flashes (undefined forms of light).

J.R., you are not hallucinating. Shadow people are real.

It's easy for someone who hasn't encountered shadow people to come up with scientific explanations for it: hallucinations, sleep paralysis, what else? eating too much chocolate?

I had an episode of sleep paralysis when I was a child, and I was very frightened, but I didn't hallucinate.

I saw a shadow person for the first time when I was 28 years old, and I was fully awake and capable of moving, and my son saw it too. Can anyone scientifically explain how my son and I had the same hallucination at exactly the same place and time? I didn't tell him what I was seeing.

Truth is, there's more to reality than meets the eye. We cannot explain everything because we do not know everything.

It was years after my first encounter with the shadow people that I discovered in the Internet (when I finally had access to it) that lots of other people have seen them too, and the similarities between their experiences and mine were astounding. That's when I became familiarized with the term 'shadow people'.

If you want to get rid of them, you must ask them to leave, but it is important not to be afraid. You must stand firm, and be totally convinced that you do want them to leave forever. Are you sure of that?

They will not leave right away. They will make few attempts to settle back in your home, and things could get a little spookier, but they won't cause any real harm.

Shadow people don't have power over us. We are the ones who have the power to invite them or to send them away. So, just insist on asking them to leave. You'll get rid of them in few months. Have faith.

Another tip: shadow people don't like dogs. Dogs chase them. I'm serious.

Although I don't know what shadow people really are, I'm certain that they're not hallucinations, and they're not spirits.

I've seen the little ones too. They usually move very quickly and hide.

You describe them as shadows, but what I've seen are tridimensional, solid, pitch black figures that have no discernible features.

I'm not sure what they are. Some believe that shadow people are evil entities or demons (I don't believe in demons as defined traditionally). Others believe that they are extraterrestrial or interdimensional beings. And there are others who believe that shadow people are physical manifestations of human thoughts, in other words "thought forms".

Some hold that shadow people are ghosts, but I have to disagree, unless ghosts are tangible and have weight. I don't get the impression that they have ever been human.

I'd like to know if you have ever felt their smell. It is an undescribable smell that makes your eyes water.

Hi everyone.

I started looking this stuff up on the internet today after a particularly bad night. I've seen these shadow people for as long as I can remember... though only in certain houses/apartments (always old buildings), and always very late at night.

Now I'm almost 28, and as I'm getting older, I'm seeing them more often (<- other areas are developing as well: "psychic" dreams, distance visions - but most of my experiences are with seeing shadow people). They always seem menacing. I pray, I ask for protection, I try to ignore them. Sometimes they won't come around for months. Lately, they have shown up every night. I feel like an idiot sleeping with the lights on, and even then, I still wake up and see them.

Can they hurt me? Do they want to? Am I supposed to help them go someplace else - and if so, why would God need to use me to help round them up?

Does anyone have experience (positive or negative) from trying to interact with them? If so, please share.

Thanks.

Hi Pink.

I didn’t start this thread, but I really want to reply to your post.

First of all, I have to thank you for mentioning the “psychic dreams” and “distance visions” because it is something I experienced during the time I saw shadow people. I haven’t seen them for a while, and the visions and premonitory dreams have gradually become less frequent. So, I believe shadow people somehow heighten one’s psychic abilities.

I’m going to describe to you what I call “visions” because I like to know if this is similar to what you call “distance visions”:

Sometimes when I’m lying down with my eyes closed, I see flashes of images. They usually startle me because they don’t look like dreams or thoughts. They’re visual images, not mental ones. I mean, they look as something you’re seeing with your bare eyes. The first thing I usually see is an eye, and then I see faces and/or places I can’t identify. On few occasions I’ve been able to verify that what I saw is real. In one of those visions, for instance, I saw a corner of what appeared to be the space between a roof and ceiling. In that corner I saw a couple of thick cables forming a “Y”. I immediately opened my eyes and decided to lift one of the ceiling panels above my bed. And, yes, there are two cables forming a “Y” in the corner closest to where I was.

In my experience, shadow people cannot cause us any real harm unless we allow them to. And we do that by trying to interact with them or by being afraid of them. In both situations you’re granting them some control over you. So, the best thing is to ignore them completely, if possible.

I had some interaction with a shadow person.

For several months, I was visited by a shadow person every day at precisely 3:45 AM. It was a very tall, robust shadow being with broad shoulders, and that’s why I refer to it as “he”.

He was darker than anything else in the room, and seemed to wear a hood or long hair because I couldn’t distinguish his neck. He always stood at the foot of my bed, except once when I woke up and found him standing next to my bed, just a few inches away from my head. That was the first time I felt afraid of him – it may seem odd, but I was normally not afraid, just amazed. So, on that occasion I told him (and this was the first time I talked to him), “you can stand at the foot of my bed every night if you wish, but never stand as close to me as this again.” He didn’t reply or move, and I stayed awake until dawn, watching him, and ultimately fell asleep because I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. What’s interesting is that he never stood there again, but returned to standing at the foot of my bed every other night. I believe this meant he could understand me and was ready to follow instructions.

I talked to him other times and, even though I never heard his voice if he had any, he had some interesting ways of replying, and also did a few things for me. Probably even saved my life.

But I learned that befriending shadow people is not a good idea. Although they can be very obedient and serviceable, they’re also very possessive and demand a lot of attention. You start seeing them more often and everywhere, and I don’t know how far it can go.

Then one night I dreamt that both of my kids died (that was almost 5 years ago and my kids are alive and well, thankfully.) And I had the same nightmare on the two following nights. Each time I woke up crying, and the shadow person was at the foot of my bed. I couldn’t help but wonder if he had anything to do with those nightmares, and if he did, then he knew exactly how to hurt me the most. And that’s why and when I asked him to leave and never come back. And he did, or so I believe.

Then four months after, I woke up at 3:45 AM and there was a shadow person standing in my bedroom’s doorway. He (it looked like a man too) was short, and I could distinguish his neck and limbs. I sat on my bed to take a better look at him and he walked in quickly, and climbed into my bed. I tried to push him away, but he grabbed my wrists and pinned me to my bed, and laid on top of me. He was so heavy I could hardly breathe, and it felt like my body was being crushed. It really hurt. His featureless face was almost touching mine, and I could feel his breath – a warm, odorless breath – or perhaps it was mine bouncing off his face. We struggled for what seemed an eternity. I could feel his body rubbing against mine and there was a sound of friction as if he was made of or was wearing some papery material, and I continued to feel the pressure of his hands grabbing my wrists. Then he exuded an indescribable smell, like nothing I’ve smelled before. It was not a foul smell but neither pleasant, and it made my eyes sting and water. I then used my right leg as a lever and managed to turn him over, and he fell to the floor because we were close to the bed’s edge. Then I sat up and saw him getting up from the floor, and I screamed at the top of my lungs. And he sneaked out of the room, crawling on all fours like an animal, with his back hunched over in a very unnatural way.

Then members of my household came to see why I was screaming. I simply told them that I had a very bad dream.

I had bruises on my wrists. I couldn’t have done that to myself. I’ve tried doing it, and I just can’t grab both of my wrists strongly enough to cause any reddening of the skin. And how could I possibly imagine a smell I had never felt before; it is as impossible as imagining a color one has never seen. Try.

Since then I’ve seen few shadow people, or maybe it has always been the same one taking on different appearances, but I haven’t seen any in my room again, and I’ve seen them mostly during the day. Nevertheless, I can’t sleep in total darkness anymore. Something interesting is that they seem to have disappeared from this house since I brought dogs. I never had dogs before. Last time I saw I shadow person, which was a while ago, my dogs were barking at it and chasing it.

Please don’t think that these beings are ghosts because they are not. Their true form is not human. They’re like blobs that can change their size and can take on any shape they want, preferably human or animal, I suppose to look more familiar to us. I’ve seen them shift-shape. And I’ve also seen them change from black to white, and from white to black, depending on the light in a room and whether they want to be seen or not.

Don’t offer them any help. They’re not lost souls. In my opinion, they want to experience through you what they cannot experience for themselves, and in return do things for you that you would normally not be able to do. Kind of a symbiotic relationship, but needless to say, a dangerous one. You may do something that bothers them and get some bad reactions from them. As I already said, the best thing you can do is to ignore them completely, or demand them to leave. They will not leave immediately; they’ll try to stay and give you a bad time, but if you insist, they will eventually leave or at least show up less frequently. Just don’t be kind or friendly to them, and try not to be afraid of them.

This has been one very long post, and I’ve said more than I wanted, but I hope this information helps you somehow.

i work in a nursing home, from the second day i worked there i saw things,, shadows going by.many who work there see them. my life has been full of these experiences, we had a spirit in the house every one saw it even visitors, they would say hi thinking it was my son,, and my son would not be home, and they would say wait i just saw a child standing there. i had a baby sitter in tears over seeing it.recently at work i saw what i believe was a ghost mouse.the size and shape of a mouse but indeed it was not alive, i watched it run off a medicine cart and run on the floor. not only havei seen it just once but three times now, and i asure you its not lack of sleep that cause this.
