My daughter is 11 and she told me today that she saw joey he was sitting on on couch,and some freaky lady she does not know,She was rocking in our chair!she said Joey smiled & didn't say anything, the lady smiled really big and turned her head side to side.Joey died on 9/7/06 he was only 17.They were very close.What should I do? I am very worried for her with this lady.Please help me if u can?
Think for a second about what had been happening in the family just prior to your daughter reporting seeing Joey. What was the family situation at the time?
Is she the only other child in the family, or does she feel that way? Sometimes feelings of detachment lead us to either create people to whom we feel attached and comfortable or remember those passed who made us happy. If any of this sounds like the true relationship between Joey and your daughter, we may have found the true cause.
As to the lady, is there any similarity to anyone living that she knows? It would make sense for her to include another individual in this hallucinationary event to complete the story. How does she feel about the family environment? Has there been a separation recently for example? Children will attempt to deal with these stresses in the most bizarre ways, including doing precisely what you are reporting.
There is another possibility, albeit remote. It is possible that your 11 year old daughter actually interacted with Joey and an older lady he has met in spirit. She may even be a relative you have forgotten about who has passed also. I include this not because I believe it has happened in your case, but because it could have happened, and I want to be complete.
Bottom line is that she will likely move on, Joey will vanish from her life as will the lady, whoever she may or may not be. The most important thing for you to do is simply act normal, do not allow these things to intrude on your well-being nor your family's life. Your daughter may simply be trying to get your attention. Give it to her lovingly. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results.
I'm not sure why you need help. If you are are not having negetive poltergiest activity and they are not purposely trying to frighten her I'm not sure where there is a problem. The Dead lady may also be someone he knew somehow connected to him that you don't know about.Its good if she feels she can talk freely about her experiences of any kind including friends school etc.If you are so concerned go to the library read up on Ghosts and talk to her a bit about it.
