Good evening to friends and guest of this reading.  I am Jesse Shepard

I am known for many things and not for others.  It is the other things that I wish to discuss.  I am happy to have this opportunity within this time and space to impart information to my brothers and sisters. 

My house the Villa Montezuma was built with my spiritual gifts in mind.  Those that were working on the house at the time had no idea of what I had in store.  It is a regret of mine that I was not able to stay and do the work I had longed to do.  During the time in which I lived it was not acceptable to dabble in such things.  I wrote about some of my experiences but I paid dearly for my candor.  To go into the details of the design of the house I will start at the top.  There are devices that attract energy place on the roof.  They look like ornaments but they have their purpose.  Some of these devices have been removed and put in other locations.  One of the prime spot is just off the music room.  It is called the Conservatory.  There is a column of energy in that spot a large part of the time.  This energy is also minimizing the wear on the stain glass windows.  It was my intention to have séances in this area.  I did on several occasions have a large table set up in the Music Room.  Some of San Diego’s most prominent ladies attended these séances.  I always found having female energy presents enhanced the experience.  I would give each person a small glass of sherry to calm their nerves.  I was never sure if they were nervous about contacting the other side or what their husbands would say if they found out.  These séances were done secretly.  On several occasions we talked with relatives of the ladies and sometimes we would contact more noteworthy individuals.   The séances usually were in the early afternoon before the men would arrive home.  I did have business dealings with a few of the men in town.  They found me quite strange.  We were from very different worlds.  My life was threatened many times.  I must admit I was not the most honest person either.  I was very good at charming people out of their money.  This behavior caught up with me and when I died I did not have anything left.  Don’t feel badly for me.  None of you will have any possessions either.  They are meaningless here.  Now that I am here it is a funny thing to be communicating back to there.  I tried so hard to find out what lay ahead in the afterlife.  I’m sure you ask yourselves the same question.  We can’t really tell you in terms that you would understand.  I guess you already know that we can be wherever we choose to be just by intending to be there.  I’m sure some people wonder if I am always at the Villa.  The answer is no.  I do enjoy coming to see the tours.  The actors remind me of myself.  They are very dramatic in their presentation.  Some are not quite in touch with reality.  I have been spotted on occasion.  I usually like to stand right behind the actor and pretend I am once again putting on my show.  Sometimes they sense my presence and forget their lines.  During the day tours I follow interesting people from place to place.  Sometime I get carried away and actually touch them on the back as I escort them from room to room.    I have moved objects in my study and made lights flicker to let people know I was around.  I was the one who turned the light on in the Cupola even though there is no light bulb.  It is my way of welcoming a special guest to my home.
